Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the barriers, D Whyte expressed concern regarding the action of BORN IN CHINA. BORN IN CHINA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was lame in its left front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, BORN IN CHINA was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, BORN IN CHINA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DUNDONNELL was slow to begin.
RACING SUPERNOVA began only fairly.
From the outside barriers, LUCKY YEAR and BLIZZARD were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
KEY WITNESS was left racing wide and without cover after the 1100 Metres.
Passing the 1000 Metres, BLIZZARD was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CIRCUIT LAND.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres and again passing the 800 Metres, DUNDONNELL got its head up when proving very difficult to settle.
Passing the 500 Metres, DUNDONNELL again got its head up and shifted out abruptly away from the heels of RACING SUPERNOVA.
Passing the 400 Metres, CIRCUIT LAND was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LUCKY YEAR. CIRCUIT LAND then raced tight between LUCKY YEAR and SIMPLY INVINCIBLE which shifted out marginally when held up for clear running behind RAPPER DRAGON. SIMPLY INVINCIBLE was then unable to obtain clear running until approaching the 200 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres, KEY WITNESS momentarily raced tight inside BLIZZARD which lay in before being shifted out to relieve the tightening.
Close to the finishing line, DASHING FELLOW (K Teetan) and MR BOGART (Z Purton) raced tight. Z Purton was spoken to regarding comments he directed towards K Teetan after passing the winning post.
A veterinary inspection of CIRCUIT LAND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BLIZZARD and MR BOGART were sent for sampling.
