Racing Incident Report
After being loaded, LIMITLESS kicked out at the back gate on a number of occasions. LIMITLESS was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was suitable to race, however LIMITLESS had lost its left hind plate when kicking out at the back gate which necessitated the horse having to be replated. As LIMITLESS required to be replated, the field was removed from the barriers. A short time later, the Stewards received advice from the Veterinary Officer that when being replated LIMITLESS had developed swelling in its right hind leg and because of this was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, LIMITLESS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, LIMITLESS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After travelling a short distance, WERTHER and HELENE PARAGON raced in restricted room between CONTENTMENT and HORSE OF FORTUNE, both of which shifted minimal ground.
After the 1100 Metres, HORSE OF FORTUNE was left racing wide and without cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, WERTHER raced tight outside BEAUTY ONLY which shifted out to follow RAPPER DRAGON. Then at the entrance to the Straight, WERTHER was steadied when disappointed for running between BEAUTY ONLY and HORSE OF FORTUNE.
Near the 300 Metres, CIRCUIT LAND was crowded for room between BLAZING SPEED and CONTENTMENT which got its head on the side and lay out under pressure before being corrected by its rider.
Passing the 200 Metres, RAPPER DRAGON shifted out under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of CONTENTMENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RAPPER DRAGON and BEAUTY ONLY were sent for sampling.
