Racing Incident Report
GENEROUS HEART was withdrawn on 19.4.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by first Standby Declared Starter TIMELY ARRIVED (M L Yeung). SUPER SPRINTER was also withdrawn on 19.4.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by second Standby Declared Starter NUMERO UNO (J Moreira). Before being allowed to race again, GENEROUS HEART and SUPER SPRINTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Just prior to the start being effected, NUMERO UNO turned its head to the left and consequently was slow to begin.
From a wide barrier, IRON BOY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, SUNNY DRAGON got its head up and shifted out abruptly across the heels of EXPERTO CREDE, resulting in SUNNY DRAGON losing ground. NUMERO UNO, which was following SUNNY DRAGON, was inconvenienced in consequence.
MOMENT OF POWER raced wide and without cover until passing the 600 Metres.
A BEAUTIFUL had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 200 Metres and again passing the 100 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, ALL GREAT FRIENDS and MULTIMAX raced tight. Then passing the 150 Metres, MULTIMAX was inconvenienced when crowded for room between DIAMOND MASTER and ALL GREAT FRIENDS, both of which shifted marginally.
Also passing the 200 Metres, S Clipperton (EXPERTO CREDE) dropped his whip.
Near the 100 Metres, NUMERO UNO, which was closing off the race fairly, was steadied when disappointed for running inside MOMENT OF POWER which was weakening.
Throughout the race, TIMELY ARRIVED travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of TIMELY ARRIVED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
DIAMOND MASTER, ARM RUNDA and ALL GREAT FRIENDS were sent for sampling.
