





The LONGINES Jockey Club Cup (formerly The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup 2010-2011; The Cathay Pacific International Cup Trial 2005-2009; The Asia's World City Cathay Pacific International Cup Trial 2004; The Asia's World City International Cup Trial 2003; The International Cup Trial 2002) was first introduced in the 2002/2003 racing season as a lead-up race to the Hong Kong Cup. Originally a domestic Group 3 event, it was upgraded to a domestic Group 2 event in the 2003/2004 racing season and in 2010 it was promoted to International Group 2 status with a purse of HK$3,000,000 run over the distance of 2000M on turf.
The Jockey Club Sprint was introduced in the 2002/2003 racing season as a lead-up to the LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint. Originally a domestic Group 3 event, this race was upgraded to a domestic Group 2 event in the 2003/2004 racing season and in 2010 it was promoted to International Group 2 status with purse money of HK$3,000,000 running over the distance of 1200M.
The Jockey Club Mile is a race for three-year-olds and upwards that is run over the LONGINES Hong Kong Mile distance of 1,600 metres. This race was established to ensure that top Hong Kong horses are suitably prepared for the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races in December. The race was promoted to International Group 2 status in 2010 carrying a purse of HK$3,000,000.
