Racing Incident Report

1 12 NYX GLUCK (K438) For some distance after the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind AEROVOLANIC. Near the 350 Metres was shifted to the outside of AEROVOLANIC to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with ALL OUT FOR SIX on a number of occasions. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 AEROVOLANIC (K400) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) No report.
4 4 FLOW WATER FLOW (K562) Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 100 Metres. Near the 100 Metres improved into a narrow run between AEROVOLANIC and RUN RUN SMART and as a result raced tight between the 100 Metres and the 50 Metres.
5 6 RUN RUN SMART (K080) No report.
6 9 MONEY GAMES (L402) When questioned J Orman stated that after settling back in the field he commenced a forward move making the Home Turn with the intention of following the favourite in the race NYX GLUCK. He said near the 400 Metres when he observed NYX GLUCK to be held up and experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running he then elected to shift to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW to obtain clear running. He said after improving to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW near the 300 Metres MONEY GAMES then became badly held up near the 200 Metres behind RUN RUN SMART and could not be tested until near the 50 Metres. After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Orman were reasonable in the circumstances.
7 11 BIG RETURN (K192) Jumped only fairly.
8 14 FLYING KNIGHT (K370) Jumped only fairly.
9 1 SOVEREIGN FUND (J402) Over the final 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of RUN RUN SMART.
10 10 WINNING GOLD (H461) C L Chau stated that the horse was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in the circumstances he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 3 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) Near the 900 Metres raced keenly when being eased to obtain a position with cover behind AEROVOLANIC. On a number of occasions near the 350 Metres was hampered when bumped by NYX GLUCK which shifted out to improve.
12 8 MONARCH COUNTY (J421) No report.
13 13 RISING PHOENIX (J498) Slow to begin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 7 MEANINGFUL DRAGON (H453) When giving ground near the 200 Metres raced in restricted room between MONEY GAMES and FLOW WATER FLOW which shifted in. Apprentice P N Wong stated that she was obliged to make too much use of the horse in the early stages to go forward and as a result MEANINGFUL DRAGON was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
