C Y Ho stated that after receiving interference approaching the 700 Metres his mount was under pressure before giving ground in the Home Straight but he could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

11 9 CALA DEI MORI (L428) On jumping blundered, shifted out and made contact with SUGAR GOODSON. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 12 MASTER PAYMENT (L159) When questioned regarding the performance Z Purton stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to obtain a forward position. He said when placed under pressure in the Home Straight MASTER PAYMENT failed to respond and, in his opinion, would derive a fitness benefit from today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MASTER PAYMENT, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER PAYMENT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
13 13 SUGAR GOODSON (L303) Bumped at the start. The performance of SUGAR GOODSON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUGAR GOODSON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
