7 11 WITHALLMYFAITH (K428) M L Yeung could offer no excuse for the horse’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 10 GRATIFIDE (K550) Bumped at the start. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 5 VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079) Jumped awkwardly.
10 6 FORTUNATE SON (J446) Shifted out slightly at the start and was bumped. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 2 NOISY BOY (J536) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by FORTUNATE SON which shifted out slightly.
12 4 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) Trainer C W Chang advised that from a wide barrier he had instructed for the horse to be ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages.
SAMARKAND (H070) Withdrawn on 17.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter VIOLET STAR. Before being allowed to race again, SAMARKAND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
