Racing Incident Report

1 1 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) Shifted in near the 1100 Metres and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 TOP DRAGON (J481) Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 700 Metres was bumped by ETALON OR. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 14 ETALON OR (J273) Crowded shortly after the start. In the middle stages raced keenly and leaving the 700 Metres shifted out and made contact with TOP DRAGON when being steadied away from FORZA TORO.
4 6 GHORGAN (K199) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
5 12 BUCEPHALAS (K096) Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced. Over the final 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the race.
6 10 FORZA TORO (K355) Bumped at the start. Near the 1100 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by LITTLE PARADISE which shifted in slightly.
7 13 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) Bumped at the start. For some distance after the 450 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind GUMMY GUMMY. Over the final 50 Metres could not be fully ridden out when held up between GHORGAN and BUCEPHALAS.
8 4 KA YING ATTACK (J391) Shifted out at the start and made contact with LUCKY SAM GOR. J Orman stated that from a wide barrier he was asked to take up a handy position but after commencing well as KA YING ATTACK was positioned wide he elected to go forward and lead to avoid racing wide. Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued those instructions as he was of the view that there was less pace in this race as compared to the horse’s first up run on 26 October 2025.
9 5 GUMMY GUMMY (H089) Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start. After travelling a short distance was bumped by ETALON OR which shifted in and away from LITTLE PARADISE. Approaching the 1000 Metres was eased when racing tight to the inside of GRATIFIDE which was racing tight to the inside of TOP DRAGON.
10 9 GRATIFIDE (K550) Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with ETALON OR. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight R Kingscote stated that soon after entering the Home Straight he was mindful of ETALON OR being positioned to his inside and in advance of him looking to shift out. He said once ETALON OR had cleared him near the 300 Metres he then had GUMMY GUMMY improve to his inside and made contact with GRATIFIDE as GUMMY GUMMY endeavoured to shift out. He said as a consequence between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres he did not use the whip on the horse and when he was satisfied that GRATIFIDE was giving its best during this section of the race he did not see it necessary to increase his vigour. He added that when he was satisfied he was not in a position to interfere with GUMMY GUMMY he was able to apply more vigour to the horse, particularly over the concluding stages. The Stewards noted the explanation provided by Jockey Kingscote and advised him that, wherever possible, he should ensure that he fully tests his mounts to obtain the best possible placing in the field.
11 8 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) Y L Chung stated that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run during the race but responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 3 YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. H Bowman could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 11 LUCKY TWIN STARS (K126) No report.
