1 1 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) Bumped at the start. Over the concluding stages made slight contact with ROMANTIC FANTASY when that runner shifted out under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 4 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages and made slight contact with JOYFUL PROSPERITY. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Jumped only fairly.
4 3 KASA PAPA (G312) For some distance approaching the 1900 Metres raced tight to the inside of ROMANTIC FANTASY which lay in.
5 8 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) D B McMonagle (CONSPIRACY WITNESS) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the first turn he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT, resulting in that runner striking the heels of CONSPIRACY WITNESS, blundering badly and losing its running. D B McMonagle was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at Sha Tin. In addition, Jockey McMonagle was fined $55,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 3 and also considered his excellent race riding record. <26/3/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
6 9 ALL ARE MINE (H293) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages. Lay out on the Home Turn. K Teetan stated that after settling back in the field he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort as it was disadvantaged by the early and middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 7 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) Slow to begin.
8 12 MR ALADDIN (H386) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 5 CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) D B McMonagle pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the first turn (see ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT). Near the 550 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight between ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT and JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted in slightly when making a forward move. D B McMonagle stated that from a wide barrier and in a race where there appeared to be a lack of pace he was instructed to go forward. He added he could offer no explanation for the horse’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
10 6 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) M Chadwick stated that it was not his intention to settle as far forward as he did, however, he observed a position behind CONSPIRACY WITNESS in the early stages which he considered to be an advantageous position. He added whilst his mount travelled well throughout the event, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, SUPER HONG KONG raced "flat” and did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 10 GOLDEN FAIRY (E448) Bumped at the start. J Orman stated that after leading the event his mount gave ground in the Home Straight and he could offer no explanation for its failure to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 11 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
