Racing Incident Report
As the gates opened, ART TRADER became fractious, lifted its front feet off the ground and momentarily put its head over the adjoining barrier partition. ART TRADER then began very awkwardly and as a consequence lost a significant amount of ground at the start. Before being allowed to race again, ART TRADER will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. FRUITY FRUITY began awkwardly and shifted out. On jumping, SUCCESSIVE GAINS shifted in and bumped HEALTHY WEALTHY. PERPETUAL PLEASURE began awkwardly. After the 1600 Metres, COSMO SUCCESS was momentarily steadied when tightened for room inside HEALTHY WEALTHY. Turning into the Back Straight, FIGHTING MASCOT proved difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MOSCOW BALLET. PERPETUAL PLEASURE, which was following FIGHTING MASCOT, was steadied in consequence. At the 200 Metres, MOSCOW BALLET and ART TRADER came together. Over the concluding stages, PERPETUAL PLEASURE hung in. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied the riding of D Holland (HEALTHY WEALTHY), 4th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he nonetheless will be reminded to ensure he rides all his mounts out at least hands and heels to the winning post where possible. PERPETUAL PLEASURE and ART TRADER were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PERPETUAL PLEASURE after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, ART TRADER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ART TRADER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUCCESSIVE GAINS and KING OF FISH were sent for sampling.
