Racing Incident Report

SOHNA was difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, SOHNA will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. After being boxed, CHEEKY LAD became fractious, reared and sat down behind. CHEEKY LAD was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said it had blood present at its right nostril, sustained multiple abrasions and was moving stiffly. He said in his opinion CHEEKY LAD was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of CHEEKY LAD. Before being allowed to race again, CHEEKY LAD will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BIG KAHUNA was slow to begin and then lost further ground when being steadied away from the heels of NEW COMMAND. WIN PRACTITIONER was slow to begin, then for the major part of the race raced greenly and hung out. In the early stages, STILTON hung in. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, SOHNA was steadied away from the heels of NEW COMMAND. When SOHNA was steadied, it shifted out, causing MULTO EXPRESSO to shift wider. After this, MULTO EXPRESSO got its head up when being steadied to shift back behind SOHNA. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, EXPLORATION hung out. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, BIG KAHUNA, which was racing greenly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of NAMJONG MONEY which as a result became unbalanced. Making the Home Turn, NEW COMMAND hung out. In the early part of the Straight, STILTON had some difficulty obtaining clear running when racing behind INSPIRATION and inside NEW COMMAND. Near the 200 Metres, FOREVER RICHES was steadied when awkwardly placed inside NEW COMMAND which shifted in when giving ground. Then over the concluding stages, FOREVER RICHES hung out. STILTON, WIN PRACTITIONER and INSPIRATION were sent for sampling.
