Racing Incident Report

LOLLIPOP was slow to begin, then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. GRAND STORE began awkwardly, resulting in O Doleuze, its rider, becoming unbalanced. Shortly after the start, LOTZATOW and MY TIME were checked when crowded for room between INSPIRATION and CIRCULAR MACHINE which shifted in abruptly after being bumped by CANNONISE which on jumping shifted in. Approaching the turn at the 1000 Metres, MY TIME hung in and caused crowding on its inside to NOBLE MAN. Then MY TIME made the turn at the 1000 Metres awkwardly, shifted out and was checked away from the heels of INSPIRATION. CIRCULAR MACHINE, which was racing to the outside, was checked in consequence. MY TIME then hung out making the turn at the 600 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, LOTZATOW, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted wider on the track. Over about the final 150 Metres, ISLAND SPEED was held up and unable to obtain clear running. Because of this, ISLAND SPEED was not tested. At the 100 Metres, NOBLE MAN and CANNONISE raced tight as NOBLE MAN improved into a narrow run on the outside of ADAIKALI which was giving ground. CIRCULAR MACHINE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, CIRCULAR MACHINE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was lame in its right hind leg. Before being permitted to race again, CIRCULAR MACHINE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ISLAND SPEED was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ISLAND SPEED after the race did not show any significant findings. INSPIRATION and NOBLE MAN were sent for sampling.
