Racing Incident Report

JOY PLUS FUN was checked and BLAZING PASS hampered when crowded for room between KING’S MAN which shifted out after beginning awkwardly and bumping BLAZING PASS and FANCY MUSIC which was taken in by WONDERFUL CHASER.
From the outside barriers, FANCY MUSIC, WONDERFUL CHASER and UNIQUE AWESOME were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 1300 Metres, BLAZING PASS shifted out abruptly away from the heels of WONDERFUL CHASER after being ridden along, resulting in UNIQUE AWESOME being bumped and taken wider. After this, UNIQUE AWESOME was left racing and without cover.
Passing the 800 Metres, GO BEAUTY GO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SMILING CHARM.
Passing the 350 Metres, KING’S MAN got its head on the side and shifted in away from CASH COURIER. Then passing the 300 Metres, KING’S MAN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DRAGON WARRIOR which, when commencing to give ground, shifted out under pressure. KING’S MAN then raced tight outside DRAGON WARRIOR passing the 200 Metres.
Passing the 150 Metres, DRAGON WARRIOR was momentarily eased away from the heels of GO BEAUTY GO (Z Purton) which shifted out under pressure. Z Purton was advised to exercise more care.
In the Straight, SPEEDY WALLY raced with its head on the side, hung in and proved difficult to ride.
After the race, K Teetan (BLAZING PASS) reported that today’s race was run at a different tempo to that at its last start when the horse was successful. He said because of the circumstances of today’s race, in particular the tempo of the race over the final 800 Metres, BLAZING PASS was not able to make ground and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of BLAZING PASS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
UNICRON JEWELLERY and GO BEAUTY GO were sent for sampling.
