Racing Incident Report

HAY GO LUCKY was withdrawn on 4.4.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind and left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ALL TOGETHER (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, HAY GO LUCKY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
INTELLECTUAL GLIDE was crowded for room on jumping between MASSIVE MOVE which shifted out and FURIOUS PEGASUS which was taken in by SNOWHOOVES.
RED SUN began only fairly and when being steadied in order to be shifted across behind runners was hampered shortly after the start when FRIENDS FOREVER shifted out.
Shortly after the start, MANHATTAN STRIKER shifted out and bumped JIMSON THE FAMOUS.
From a wide barrier, GOLDIE FLANKER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
FLYING PROSPERITY lost its left hind plate after the 1000 Metres.
For some distance after the 1000 Metres, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE proved very difficult to settle and near the 800 Metres got its head on the side, shifted in away from SNOWHOOVES and bumped FLYING PROSPERITY, causing both FLYING PROSPERITY and INTELLECTUAL GLIDE to become unbalanced. After this, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE continued to travel keenly and making the turn after the 700 Metres was steadied away from the heels of SNOWHOOVES.
When questioned regarding the performance of JIMSON THE FAMOUS, N Rawiller stated that it had been hoped that the horse would be able to take up a midfield position from its inside barrier. He said JIMSON THE FAMOUS did not begin well and then, despite being hard ridden, failed to muster speed. He said JIMSON THE FAMOUS travelled only fairly throughout the middle stages and for this reason he elected to attempt to obtain inside runs after the 600 Metres. He said after being momentarily awkwardly placed behind FLYING PROSPERITY rounding the Home Turn, he expected that JIMSON THE FAMOUS would quicken after obtaining clear running to the outside of FLYING PROSPERITY passing the 400 Metres. He said however that, despite being placed under heavy pressure in the Straight, JIMSON THE FAMOUS did not respond, finished off the race one-paced and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of JIMSON THE FAMOUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

JIMSON THE FAMOUS, GOLDIE FLANKER and GIDDY GIDDY were sent for sampling.
<6/4/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Officer reported that FLYING PROSPERITY was lame in its right front leg with swelling over the lower tendon on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING PROSPERITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
