Racing Incident Report

GO BEAUTY GO shifted out at the start and bumped ACCLAIMED LIGHT which in turn shifted out and bumped WINNING SUPREME.
Shortly after the start, BRAVE LEGEND shifted out and bumped GO BEAUTY GO.
From the outside barriers, TEN FLAMES, GOODHEART SUCCESS and HEROIC GURU were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1050 Metres, CELESTIAL NOVA got its head up. Then passing the 1000 Metres, CELESTIAL NOVA got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of GO BEAUTY GO.
Rounding the Home Turn, THE SYLPH was awkwardly placed outside JADE FORTUNE.
When questioned, S Clipperton stated that throughout the early and middle stages and particularly along the Back Straight GO BEAUTY GO would not relax and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BANK ON RED for some distance. He said he believed that GO BEAUTY GO would be left flat-footed when the tempo of the race increased, therefore he elected to allow his mount to stride forward near the 600 Metres in the hope that he would be able to establish a break over the remainder of the field. He said if his mount had relaxed better, he would have been content to remain racing behind BANK ON RED for longer, however, he did not believe it was in the horse’s best interests to continue racing behind that horse when GO BEAUTY GO was racing keenly.
When questioned, N Rawiller (BRAVE LEGEND) stated that along the Back Straight he had been following THE SYLPH. He said after the 600 Metres the tempo of the race increased noticeably and BRAVE LEGEND, which was attempting 1650 Metres for the first time tonight, came off the bridle and did not quicken with the remainder of the field. He said he rode his mount along in order to have it quicken, however, as BRAVE LEGEND was unbalanced, he was reluctant to ride it too aggressively. He added BRAVE LEGEND commenced to improve its position rounding the Home Turn and then in the Straight finished off the race well.
CALIFORNIA JOY, BANK ON RED and GO BEAUTY GO were sent for sampling.
