J Orman stated that his instructions were to endeavour to shift to the outside in the Home Straight but was unable to do so. He said when placed under pressure SUPERB GUY finished the race off in a one-paced manner and, in his opinion, may have reached the end of its preparation. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

14 5 WAVE GARDEN (K209) 9 K C Leung Jumped awkwardly. H Bowman (PRINCE ALEX) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 250 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of WAVE GARDEN, resulting in WAVE GARDEN having to be checked. In accordance with previous practices, H Bowman was fined the sum of $60,000 in lieu of a one-day suspension. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. K C Leung stated that his mount did not travel well during the event and did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 6 FIGHT TIME (H409) 13 J Orman Shifted in on jumping and became unbalanced when it bumped MANYTHANKS FOREVER. J Orman stated that after settling back in the field his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight and could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 JOLLY JUMPER (K110) 10 C L Chau (-2) For some distance approaching the 300 Metres was hampered when bumped by SPEEDY TRIDENT which was endeavouring to shift out. Near the 100 Metres SPEEDY TRIDENT (K Teetan) improved into a narrow run between HE WAS ME and MANYTHANKS FOREVER and as a result made contact with MANYTHANKS FOREVER. A short distance later SPEEDY TRIDENT was taken out by HE WAS ME, resulting in MANYTHANKS FOREVER shifting out and away from SPEEDY TRIDENT across the running of JOLLY JUMPER which was steadied. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. C L Chau stated that he had to make use of the horse in the early stages to go forward. He added, in his opinion, JOLLY JUMPER was also not comfortable on today’s "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 8 PRINCE ALEX (G307) 14 H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. H Bowman pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 250 Metres (see WAVE GARDEN).
5 9 MAZING GRACE (K166) 4 R Kingscote Crowded on jumping by HE WAS ME which shifted out. Approaching the 1000 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid DOUBLE SHOW (L Ferraris) which shifted in. L Ferraris was reprimanded.

13 11 TAI VICTORY (K124) 7 A Badel Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded between BRAVE WIN and DOUBLE SHOW which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
9 12 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) 12 H Y Yuen (-10) On jumping was crowded between FORTUNE KINGO and FIGHT TIME which shifted in. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that from a wide barrier she was obliged to make use of the horse to go forward which resulted in it being unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 13 SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230) 2 K Teetan For some distance near the 300 Metres made contact with JOLLY JUMPER when endeavouring to obtain a run when there was not sufficient room between JOLLY JUMPER and MANYTHANKS FOREVER. As a result SPEEDY TRIDENT was held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres when unable to obtain the run. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care. Sent for sampling post-race.

14 4 RISING FROM EAST (L145) 2 M L Yeung Jumped only fairly. After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when it made contact with JOY TOGETHER when taken out by GALLANT EPOCH. The performance of RISING FROM EAST, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, RISING FROM EAST will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 5 APEX GLORY (L265) 13 K C Leung On jumping made contact with CIRCUIT CENTURY. A short distance later APEX GLORY was then bumped by LUCK IS BACK which shifted out. Near the 100 Metres was bumped by CIRCUIT CENTURY which shifted in. K C Leung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by CIRCUIT CENTURY and LUCK IS BACK and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 6 BRILLIANT WINNER (L203) 7 M F Poon Shifted out at the start and was steadied to avoid KING OF FIGHTERS. M F Poon stated that as a result his mount settled further back in the field than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 7 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) 9 H Y Yuen (-10) Bumped shortly after the start. Approaching the 250 Metres was hampered when taken wider by LUCK IS BACK.
7 8 LUCK IS BACK (J398) 12 P N Wong (-7) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Leaving the 400 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and as a result shifted in and made contact with WINNING MACHINE for some distance thereafter. Approaching the 250 Metres was hampered when bumped by WINNING MACHINE. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that the instructions were to race where comfortable but not to restrain the horse in the early stages.
13 9 CALL ME SUCCESS (K462) 4 L Ferraris E C W Wong (WINNING MACHINE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1200 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of CALL ME SUCCESS, resulting in CALL ME SUCCESS having to be checked. E C W Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Saturday, 4 July 2026 and to expire on Monday, 13 July 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Jockey Wong was fined $40,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very poor race riding record. Near the 250 Metres WINNING MACHINE (E C W Wong) shifted out, resulting in LUCK IS BACK being taken wider. As a result GOOD LUCK BABE (Apprentice H Y Yuen) was then taken out slightly by LUCK IS BACK before shifting out and crowding TRENDY RUSH across the running of CALL ME SUCCESS which was checked. E C W Wong and Apprentice Yuen were severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances they would be required to make a greater effort to prevent their mounts from shifting ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

2 11 TRENDY RUSH (L209) 6 B Avdulla Approaching the 250 Metres was hampered when taken out by GOOD LUCK BABE. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 12 CIRCUIT CENTURY (K308) 14 L Hewitson Bumped on jumping. Lay in when giving ground in the Home Straight. L Hewitson stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position. After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on CIRCUIT CENTURY at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT CENTURY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
5 13 FLYING SNIPER (L270) 10 Z Purton On jumping shifted in and made contact with GOOD LUCK BABE, resulting in FLYING SNIPER becoming unbalanced. For some distance approaching the 500 Metres was unable to improve when awkwardly placed between BRILLIANT WINNER and KING OF FIGHTERS which shifted out. Approaching the 250 Metres became unbalanced when being shifted to the outside of ARIEL to obtain clear running. As a result FLYING SNIPER shifted out, resulting in its rider Z Purton having to correct his mount. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 14 WINNING MACHINE (K239) 5 E C W Wong (-3) E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 1200 Metres (see CALL ME SUCCESS). Leaving the 400 Metres improved into a narrow run between CIRCUIT CENTURY and LUCK IS BACK and as a result made contact with LUCK IS BACK. LUCK IS BACK (Apprentice P N Wong) then shifted in, resulting in WINNING MACHINE being crowded for room between CIRCUIT CENTURY and LUCK IS BACK for some distance thereafter. Both E C W Wong, rider of WINNING MACHINE, and Apprentice Wong were advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Lay out under pressure over the final 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING MACHINE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

4 5 DRAGON SKY FORCE (L198) 6 M Chadwick Fractious in the barriers. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON SKY FORCE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. On jumping shifted out and made contact with BEAUTY THUNDER. Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of SYNERGY IN ACTION to continue into clear running.
11 6 FLOWING RICHES (K293) 13 M L Yeung On jumping made contact with GOLDEN ACE due to both runners shifting ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
3 7 GOLDEN ACE (L461) 14 E Brown On jumping made contact with FLOWING RICHES due to both runners shifting ground. When questioned regarding his riding of GOLDEN ACE, which was having its first race start, E Brown stated that his instructions were to settle the horse where comfortable and he was given no other instructions in relation to where to position the horse during the event. He said after being bumped at the start he did not ride his mount along in the early stages to allow it to balance and settle where comfortable in accordance with his instructions. When questioned if there was an opportunity to encourage his mount to hold a more forward position Jockey Brown stated that as the horse raced greenly he elected to allow it to settle towards the rear of the field where it was travelling comfortably. He added that throughout the middle stages GOLDEN ACE continued to race greenly and entering the course proper near the 400 Metres became unbalanced. He said when positioned behind and to the outside of GOOD POWER near the 400 Metres he contemplated shifting to the inside of that runner to follow LAHORE but elected to remain racing behind JUICY DRAGON as he was of the opinion that horse was travelling well enough to provide him with a horse to follow into the event. When questioned if there was an opportunity to ride the horse with more vigour between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres Jockey Brown stated that as he was still assessing where he was going to improve he continued to encourage his mount forward but not applying full vigour which allowed GOLDEN ACE to improve behind JUICY DRAGON. He said when JUICY DRAGON did not improve as he had expected this resulted in GOLDEN ACE being badly held up for clear running behind JUICY DRAGON between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres before he was able to shift to that runner’s outside to secure clear running. He further stated that from this point on GOLDEN ACE finished the race off well under hard riding. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with Jockey Brown’s ride. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised Jockey Brown that, in their opinion, he should have applied more pressure to the horse in the early stages to maintain a more forward position and secondly between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres to ride his mount with more urgency to endeavour to improve to the inside of JUICY DRAGON earlier in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

13 10 KING ZOOM (L279) 9 L Ferraris Had its left front plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Noted to have blood in the mouth at the Start, was again examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed fit to start. Jumped only fairly.

10 13 BETTER AND BETTER (K277) 11 A Badel Bumped approaching the 250 Metres. A Badel stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount initially responded to his riding, however, after becoming unbalanced near the 50 Metres when it attempted to jump a mark on the track it then did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 14 SUPREME VOYAGER (L043) 5 A Atzeni Approaching the 250 Metres became unbalanced when crowded between BETTER AND BETTER and LAHORE which shifted out slightly.
9 HANDSOME HERO (L346) K Teetan Fractious in the barriers, reared, struck its head and then got down in the starting gate. Was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME HERO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Race:5 (820) THE HONG KONG REUNIFICATION CUP (HANDICAP) (Sec1) Class 2 1400 m

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PACKING HERMOD, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PACKING HERMOD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

12 2 GLORY B (H373) 12 L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer D J Whyte confirmed the instructions issued and stated that the horse settled further back than what he had expected to ensure that it was able to obtain cover. Noted to be lame in its right front leg after the race. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY B will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
8 3 INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) 2 R Kingscote Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid SWAGGER BRO (A Badel) which shifted in when not clear. A Badel was severely reprimanded. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Y L Chung stated that his mount did not travel well during the event and, in his opinion, would be suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. 1 10 SILVER SPURS (J043) 10 E C W Wong (-3) When questioned regarding the improved performance as compared to its previous start Trainer C Fownes stated that at its previous start on 10 June 2026 the horse was disadvantaged by not being able to obtain a position on the rail and having to be ridden forward from a wide barrier. He said following that performance he sent the horse to his Conghua stable where it had barrier trialed well on 22 June 2026 prior to today’s race. He added, in his opinion, SILVER SPURS was also advantaged by being able to obtain a position on the rail where the horse generally races best. Sent for sampling post-race.

When questioned regarding her riding near the 200 Metres and the reason she elected to shift to the inside of DANCING CLASSICS to obtain clear running rather than improving between DRAGON FOUR SEAS and DANCING CLASSICS, Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that as she commenced to improve into the event she was concerned that DANCING CLASSICS would shift out which would result in the run closing. She said for this reason she elected to ease FAST RESPONDER and shift to the inside of DANCING CLASSICS to ensure her mount was given an uninterrupted run to the finish of the event. Apprentice Yuen was advised that in similar circumstances she should ensure she avails herself of runs as soon as they present themselves.

K C Leung stated that his mount was under pressure throughout the event with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

When questioned Y L Chung stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Sha Tin, was stirred up prior to the event. He said TYCOON RESOURCES jumped well and was able to obtain a handy position. He said although the early and middle stages were run inside of standard time TYCOON RESOURCES travelled satisfactorily but when asked to improve on the Home Turn did not respond to his riding and gave ground in the Home Straight. Trainer A S Cruz advised the horse had pleased him leading into the race and confirmed the advice of Jockey Chung that the horse was stirred up prior to the running of tonight’s event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, TYCOON RESOURCES will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
