1 3 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) 1 J Moreira Approaching the 150 Metres shifted to the outside of THE WAY WE WIN to secure clear running and as a result made contact with WAH MAY WAI WAI. After obtaining clear running to the outside of THE WAY WE WIN passing the 150 Metres was then inconvenienced when taken wider by THE WAY WE WIN which shifted out under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 4 PRINCE ALEX (G307) 3 B Avdulla When questioned regarding his riding and the reason he made a forward move from the 700 Metres B Avdulla stated that his instructions were to obtain a handy position. He said after settling back in a midfield position following HAPPY BUDDIES he elected to make a forward move from the 700 Metres although he was aware that the early and middle stages of the event had been run inside of standard time. He said his decision to go forward at that point was due to the fact that PRINCE ALEX is one-paced and that he was of the opinion HAPPY BUDDIES and SMART TRIO, which were racing in advance of PRINCE ALEX, would not provide him with the opportunity to improve into the event. He added that he was also influenced by the fact that PRINCE ALEX had won previously when being ridden in a similar manner.
11 5 HAPPY BUDDIES (K344) 5 K C Leung Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with THE WAY WE WIN. Throughout the early stages raced keenly. Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid SMART TRIO (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.
3 6 TELECOM POWER (J332) 10 H Bentley H Bentley stated that his instructions were to attempt to find a midfield position with cover. He said when caught wide in the early stages and when a number of runners showed superior pace he elected to settle slightly further back than intended to ensure that his mount was able to obtain cover.
9 7 ZETTA FORCE (J546) 11 C L Chau (-2) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between CASA LEGEND and PRINCE ALEX which shifted out. C L Chau reported that his mount hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 8 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) 12 A Atzeni After improving to the inside of SMART TRIO approaching the 1400 Metres then raced tight near the 1300 Metres to the inside of SMART TRIO when SMART TRIO shifted in slightly before being corrected by its rider.

Z Purton stated that the horse has a tendency to jump only fairly. He said tonight ALWAYS MY FOLKS jumped fairly which resulted in it racing in a midfield position. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped near the 400 Metres. A Badel stated that he was asked to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
6 9 CHILL MASTER (J319) 9 C L Chau (-2) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was bumped by LAKESHORE HERO which shifted in. Bumped approaching the 1000 Metres.
9 10 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) 6 L Hewitson Near the 400 Metres made contact with TAI VICTORY when improving to the inside of AUTUMN VIBES.

Race:3 (747) WONG NAI CHUNG GAP HANDICAP (Sec2) Class 4 1200 m

5 1 YOUNG ARROW (J401) 6 E Brown Jumped only fairly. Bumped leaving the 600 Metres. When questioned regarding his riding from the 600 Metres and as to whether there was an opportunity to follow SAME TO YOU into the race E Brown stated that his instructions were to obtain cover and he had expected to take a handy position where his mount ultimately settled. He said after following CAPTAIN LINK during the race he was reluctant to shift out and follow SAME TO YOU as he felt that runner had a tough run with the race being run inside of standard time and he was of the opinion that horse would not provide him with the opportunity to improve into the event. He said for this reason he remained racing behind CAPTAIN LINIK, however, when FORERUNNER improved quickly to his outside near the 500 Metres and CAPTAIN LINK did not improve, this resulted in YOUNG ARROW being held up for clear running making the Home Turn before finishing the race off reasonably well in the Home Straight. Trainer D J Whyte confirmed the instructions were to obtain cover but expressed disappointment with Jockey Brown’s decision not to shift out to follow SAME TO YOU after the 600 Metres. Jockey Brown agreed with the Stewards that he had made an error of judgement by not shifting to the outside of CAPTAIN LINK after the 600 Metres which would have resulted in his mount obtaining clear running on the Home Turn and into the Home Straight. Jockey Brown was advised that in future he would be expected to show better judgement than he did on this occasion. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 2 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) 3 Y L Chung (-2) Y L Chung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by WINALOT and as a consequence gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 3 CAPTAIN LINK (K515) 2 J Moreira Bumped on jumping. J Moreira could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. Trainer C Fownes advised the horse had pleased him since its last start and the only explanation he could offer was that the horse may not have been suited by the early stages of the event being run slightly inside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of CAPTAIN LINK was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, CAPTAIN LINK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
3 4 LEADING AGILITY (K553) 9 L Hewitson Crowded shortly after the start. Throughout the early stages raced ungenerously and got its head up when being eased and shifted in to obtain a position closer to the rail. Badly held up for clear running making the Home Turn. For some distance near the 400 Metres got its head up when being checked to avoid YOUNG ARROW.
6 5 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) 11 C L Chau (-2) Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider. Near the 250 Metres shifted in and made contact with FORZA LEADER on two occasions. C L Chau stated that he was instructed not to make use of the horse in the early stages. He said whilst GOLDEN EMPIRE commenced well he allowed it to settle towards the rear of the field as instructed. Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as GOLDEN EMPIRE had not been finishing its races off at it most recent starts when being ridden in a forward position.
12 6 WINALOT (L197) 7 L Ferraris L Ferraris confirmed that the instructions were to go forward. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
1 7 FORERUNNER (G465) 8 A Badel Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with LEADING AGILITY. Near the 50 Metres made contact with SAME TO YOU due to both runners shifting ground. Sent for sampling post-race.
9 8 FREE PONY (K229) 1 K Teetan Shifted out on jumping and made contact with CAPTAIN LINK. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 600 Metres shifted in, made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced. K Teetan stated that his mount would be better suited by being ridden in a more conservative manner than what it was tonight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 9 MARVEL AND GOLD (K109) 4 M F Poon Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 600 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid FREE PONY and made contact with YOUNG ARROW. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn.
4 10 FORZA LEADER (L034) 10 K C Leung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GOLDEN EMPIRE which shifted in slightly and LEADING AGILITY which was taken out by FORERUNNER. Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by LEADING AGILITY which shifted out when being checked. Passing the 300 Metres K C Leung dropped his left rein for a number of strides when racing tight between GOLDEN EMPIRE and LEADING AGILITY.

EXCEED THE LIMIT continued to race keenly in the middle stages when being restrained to maintain cover behind SAVVY WARRIOR. Bumped near the 350 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider L Hewitson having to stop riding and straighten. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 2 STAR MAC (J053) 8 J Orman Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by GAZELEY which shifted in after making contact with TAKE ACTION. When placed under pressure after the 300 Metres lay in and had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres.
4 3 FLYING FORTUNE (L057) 11 E Brown E Brown stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to go forward and attempt to obtain cover, however, he was given the option of continuing forward if he was not able to with comply with those instructions. He said when caught wide in the early stages he had no option but to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground.
10 4 GAZELEY (K253) 9 L Ferraris Shortly after the start shifted in after making contact with TAKE ACTION. Near the 1000 Metres shifted out after being bumped by DASHING MAURISON. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight and near the 100 Metres shifted in and away from CAN’T GO WONG. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
1 5 TAKE ACTION (J098) 10 B Avdulla H Bowman was replaced by B Avdulla (see General). Bumped shortly after the start. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 200 Metres was hampered when taken wider by EXCEED THE LIMIT which shifted out under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 6 DASHING MAURISON (K374) 6 H Bentley Bumped near the 1000 Metres.
8 7 SMILING ONE (K336) 7 K C Leung Jumped only fairly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running after the 300 Metres. Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the inside of DASHING MAURISON to obtain clear running.
5 8 SAVVY WARRIOR (K257) 3 C Y Ho On jumping made heavy contact with KING GLORIOSO due to both runners shifting ground. As a result SAVVY WARRIOR shifted out and then made contact with CAN’T GO WONG. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from DASHING MAURISON. Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, SAVVY WARRIOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
3 9 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) 4 M F Poon Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 350 Metres shifted out and made contact with EXCEED THE LIMIT.
12 10 RUN RUN TIMING (H403) 1 Z Purton Z Purton stated that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run in the lead but failed to respond to his riding and weakened noticeably in the Home Straight. Trainer P F Yiu advised that the horse had pleased him since its last start on 13 May 2026 and whilst RUN RUN TIMING was found to have an irregular heart rhythm it was also disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, RUN RUN TIMING will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 11 KING GLORIOSO (J247) 2 A Atzeni On jumping made heavy contact with SAVVY WARRIOR due to both runners shifting ground. A Atzeni stated that his mount enjoyed a good run in the early and middle stages behind RUN RUN TIMING. He said when RUN RUN TIMING came under pressure making the Home Turn he was unable to improve his position before failing to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 12 CONRAD THE GREAT (K217) 12 A Badel A Badel stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages, particularly as CONRAD THE GREAT was stepping up in distance from 1200 Metres to 1650 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

7 2 GLORY B (H373) 7 L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages and similar to the manner he rode it at its most recent barrier trial on 11 May 2026.
9 3 IRON SECURITY (L174) 2 K C Leung After travelling a short distance was bumped by BROWNNEEDSFURTHER which shifted in and away from GEORGIAN SIGMA.
5 4 DANICA'S CHOICE (L096) 5 P N Wong (-7) When pulling her whip through to her right hand near the 200 Metres Apprentice P N Wong dropped her right rein and as a result had difficulty riding her mount out until approaching the 50 Metres when she was able to regather her rein. For a short distance after the 50 Metres Apprentice Wong had difficulty using her whip when it became entangled in her rein whilst racing tight to the outside of PODIUM. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between FIVEFORTWO and MISTER DAPPER which shifted out when positioned close to ALL ROUND WINNER. As a result SMART AVENUE was shifted to the inside of MISTER DAPPER to secure clear running.

When being shifted in leaving the 300 Metres to obtain clear running made contact with ANOTHER ZONDA. Sent for sampling post-race.

H Bentley stated that whilst the intention was to settle in a more forward position he was obliged to continue forward in the early stages to race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground which resulted in ALL ROUND WINNER being left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

7 9 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) 2 A Atzeni Jumped only fairly. Near the 1500 Metres WITHOUT COMPARE (C L Chau) improved quickly to the inside of SMART AVENUE as that runner was being shifted in. As a consequence WITHOUT COMPARE made contact with CALIFORNIA MOXIE, resulting in CALIFORNIA MOXIE becoming badly unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of WITHOUT COMPARE. C L Chau was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to show better judgement so that his mounts do not improve into positions where there is not comfortable racing room to do so.
