He said in the Home Straight ALWAYS MY FOLKS failed to respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 3 BEAUTY GEMINI (L129) 2 Y L Chung (-2) Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 400 Metres, when laying out, was steadied to avoid SOLAR RIVER (R Kingscote) which shifted in slightly. R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care.

12 5 SWEET BRIAR (H044) 5 C L Chau (-2) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by DIRIYA which shifted in. C L Chau reported that his mount would be advantaged by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

7 7 MACANESE MASTER (J532) 10 K Teetan K Teetan reported that he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to go forward. He said MACANESE MASTER raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event when unable to cross runners to its inside before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 8 DIRIYA (K282) 6 B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of RUNJEET to obtain clear running. DIRIYA then raced tight between RUNJEET and SOLAR RIVER over the concluding stages.
6 9 RUNJEET (K276) 4 L Ferraris Bumped shortly after the start.
10 10 SMART CITY (J213) 8 J Orman Near the 600 Metres, SMART CITY, which was laying out, was steadied to avoid MACANESE MASTER (K Teetan) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care.

1 3 BRIGHT DAY (J530) 3 K C Leung Near the 50 Metres rider K C Leung dropped his right rein. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 4 GRIT SPIRIT (L116) 9 C L Chau (-2) Shifted in shortly after the start and became unbalanced when it bumped TACTICAL COMMAND. C L Chau reported that his mount lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. He said as a result near the 150 Metres he was obliged to steady and shifted to the outside of VERY GRATEFUL to continue into clear running.
8 5 HOLMES A COURT (J511) 5 B Avdulla B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to go forward and lead. He said HOLMES A COURT was pressured in the lead by LOVING VIBES which resulted in the early stages being run inside of standard time. He said as a consequence HOLMES A COURT was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

2 8 DAN ATTACK (H317) 4 H Bentley Shortly after the start raced in restricted room between HOLMES A COURT and BRIGHT DAY which shifted out slightly. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between LOVING VIBES and BRIGHT DAY which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.

9 10 LEGEND STAR (K271) 12 Y L Chung (-2) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
4 11 LOVING VIBES (J359) 10 A Atzeni When questioned A Atzeni stated that his instructions, with its light weight, were to go forward and attempt to lead if possible. He said having regard to his instructions he rode his mount along in the early stages in an endeavour to cross runners to his inside. He said when HOLMES A COURT held its position to his inside he then commenced to attempt to steady his mount to race outside of HOLMES A COURT. He said when LOVING VIBES raced keenly and did not respond to his efforts to set a more sustainable pace this resulted in the early stages being run inside of standard time. He added that near the 500 Metres when LOVING VIBES continued to race keenly it established a small margin in advance of HOLMES A COURT and then in the Home Straight LOVING VIBES finished the race off reasonably well considering the manner in which it raced throughout the early stages. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued and stated that as the horse does have a respiratory issue it performs best when not overly restrained. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 12 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) 7 M F Poon Shortly after the start shifted out and away from KANSAS and then became unbalanced when it made contact with GRIT SPIRIT which shifted in.

12 1 NOISY BOY (J536) 12 Z Purton When questioned regarding the disappointing performance Z Purton stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages when caught wide he was obliged to make use of his mount to clear runners to his inside. He said after obtaining the lead NOISY BOY was then disadvantaged by being pressured by CAN’T GO WONG which was positioned to his outside. He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight NOISY BOY failed to respond to his riding and gave ground over the final 200 Metres. He said NOISY BOY had pleased him in a barrier trial on 1 September 2026 and its most recent track work on 14 September 2026. Trainer C H Yip advised that NOISY BOY had pleased him leading into the race and agreed with Jockey Purton that the horse had been disadvantaged by having to be made use of to go forward in the early stages and then also being pressured in the lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NOISY BOY was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, NOISY BOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
6 2 JUMBO STEPS (L269) 8 H Bentley Trainer P C Ng confirmed that the instructions were to go forward.
10 3 SERANGOON (H296) 5 B Avdulla Slow to begin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. The performance of SERANGOON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SERANGOON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

2 6 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) 1 K Teetan The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in as they were of the opinion that an incident had occurred over the concluding stages which cast doubt on whether ROMANTIC FANTASY should be declared the winner. Subsequently K Teetan, rider of the second placed, ROSEWOOD FLEEFOOT lodged a protest/objection against ROMANTIC FANTASY being declared the winner alleging interference over the final 50 Metres. After considering the evidence the Stewards established that near the 100 Metres ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT shifted out slightly before being straightened by its rider. They further found that near the 50 Metres ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT and ROMANTIC FANTASY made slight contact due to ROMANTIC FANTASY shifting in slightly. However, having regard to the manner in which both horses finished the race off, the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had the contact not occurred ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT would have finished in advance of ROMANTIC FANTASY and therefore the protest/objection was overruled and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. 8 9 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) 10 M F Poon M F Poon reported that his instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when CAN’T GO WONG jumped well it obtained a more forward position than intended.

Y L Chung stated that, in his opinion, the horse would derive a fitness benefit from tonight’s first up performance. 11 2 SOMELOVEFROMABOVE (J503) 9 J Orman J Orman stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the event and, in his opinion, did not appreciate racing amongst other horses. He added that, in his opinion, SOMELOVEFROMABOVE would be better suited with the reapplication of blinkers. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

12 1 GRATIFIDE (K550) 9 R Kingscote R Kingscote reported that he was instructed to go forward. He said after obtaining a position outside the lead GRATIFIDE came under pressure on the Home Turn before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, GRATIFIDE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 2 JUICY DRAGON (K405) 12 P N Wong (-7) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 3 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) 8 A Atzeni ARMOUR WAR EAGLE, which was fractious in the starting gates, made contact with the starting gate on jumping and as a result bounded at the start and lost ground. A Atzeni stated that after losing ground at the start his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 4 LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) 4 M F Poon Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP which shifted in when being steadied. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 5 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) 11 E C W Wong (-3) Near the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP to continue into clear running. E C W Wong stated that he was instructed to go forward and obtain cover. He said whilst ELEGANT LIFE jumped reasonably well and when a number of runners to his inside showed superior pace he was obliged to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground.
1 6 YOUNG ARROW (J401) 6 Z Purton In the early and middle stages raced keenly. Near the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP. Sent for sampling post-race.

11 12 GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP (K106) 10 H T Mo (-2) Leaving the 600 Metres was steadied when crowded between GRATIFIDE which shifted out slightly and JUICY DRAGON (Apprentice P N Wong) which hung in as it was being corrected by its rider. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that Apprentice Wong had made an attempt to straighten her mount at this point she was advised in similar circumstances to react quicker than what she did on this occasion.
