1 7 KING ALLOY (K099) Leaving the 600 Metres was eased to avoid SPICY SPANGLE (H Bowman) which shifted in when not quite clear. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. Sent for sampling post-race.

7 9 ISLAND BREEZES (J479) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
8 5 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) On jumping was crowded between MAJESTIC DELIGHT and SPICY SPANGLE, both of which shifted ground. J Orman stated that after being steadied to avoid YOUNG STRIKER near the 600 Metres his mount responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 2 CONSPIRATOR (K090) Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 6 HANDSOME BLOND (K241) Made contact with a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. Slow to begin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 10 CIRCUIT VICTORY (H487) K C Leung reported that his saddle shifted back on jumping and as a result placed him at some disadvantage for the remainder of the event. Was left racing wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.
12 4 YOUNG STRIKER (K029) Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid MAJESTIC DELIGHT (C L Chau) which shifted in when not clear. C L Chau was severely reprimanded.
