Racing Incident Report

Just prior to the gates opening, BOUNTIFUL got its head up, consequently began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and lost ground at the start. WEI SHAN began awkwardly, got its head up and bounded in the air. TOUCH DOWN was a little slow to begin and shortly afterwards lost its position between GREAT STAR and SWAGGIE which got its head on the side and shifted out away from DESERT STRIKE. Near the 1600 Metres, SWAGGIE was steadied away from the heels of DESERT STRIKE. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, WEI SHAN, which had been ridden along to make up ground, got its head up and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of AMBITIOUS LEADER. When WEI SHAN shifted out, inconvenience was caused on its outside to ACCLAMATION which as a result was steadied. In the early stages, FLYING DRAGON was ridden along to go forward, however, making the first turn raced wide and without cover, then near the 1300 Metres was carried wider when X-SPEED shifted out to relieve the crowding on its inside. Also in the early stages, GREAT STAR raced wide and without cover, then making the first turn when being steadied to obtain a position behind FLYING DRAGON proved difficult to settle. Then near the 1200 Metres, GREAT STAR got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FLYING DRAGON which at this time itself steadied, came back and shifted in to a position behind X-SPEED with cover. Near the 1300 Metres, AMBITIOUS LEADER and WEI SHAN were momentarily crowded for room inside X-SPEED which momentarily shifted in. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, ACCLAMATION was shifted away from the running rail and was steadied off the heels of WEI SHAN. For some distance after straightening, DESERT STRIKE attempted to improve into tight running on the inside of AMBITIOUS LEADER, then after the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for this run as AMBITIOUS LEADER shifted in slightly away from SHERIFF BAMBOO which itself shifted in. No action was taken. After the 200 Metres, BOUNTIFUL was bumped by X-SPEED which shifted in. AMBITIOUS LEADER and ACCLAMATION were sent for sampling.
