Racing Incident Report
PACKING WINNER was withdrawn on 3.4.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, PACKING WINNER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, BEAUTY FLASH was tightened for room between BRAVE KID and UNIQUE JEWELLERY, both of which shifted ground. D Whyte (BRAVE KID) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of COLLECTION, causing that horse to be checked when tightened for room between BRAVE KID and VIVA PATACA. D Whyte was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Sunday, 2 May 2010 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 25 April 2010. In addition, D Whyte was fined $40,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating one further raceday. BRAVE KID, ABLE ONE and MR MEDICI were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SIGHT WINNER had lost its left front plate.
