Racing Incident Report

SUM WIN DRAGON lost its left front plate in the holding stalls and its right front plate in the saddling stalls. After both plates were refitted, SUM WIN DRAGON was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie carried by SUNNY WIN was reapplied.
SUM WIN DRAGON shifted in at the start and bumped ASHKIYR.
Shortly after the start, JOY PLUS FUN was hampered when crowded for room between WILD BOY and HOUSE OF LUCK which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
From a wide barrier, SPEEDY WALLY was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, LANSBURY was steadied away from the heels of WORKS OF ART.
For some distance approaching the winning post on the first occasion, GRACEFUL KINGDOM (C Schofield) got its head on the side and hung in. Then passing the winning post on the first occasion, GRACEFUL KINGDOM continued to hang in, despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in HOLY UNICORN being taken in across the rightful running of HOUSE OF LUCK which was severely checked. WILD BOY, which was following, was checked away from the heels of that horse and JOY PLUS FUN, which was following WILD BOY, was also severely checked and lost ground. SPEEDY WALLY, which was following JOY PLUS FUN, was also inconvenienced in consequence. The Stewards were satisfied that C Schofield had made every endeavour to prevent his mount from shifting ground and therefore no further action was taken.
Approaching the 400 Metres, SPEEDY WALLY hung in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of JOY PLUS FUN. After this, SPEEDY WALLY continued to hang in and proved difficult to ride.
Over the concluding stages, LANSBURY shifted in under pressure.
In the Straight, GRACEFUL KINGDOM lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of WILD BOY and HOUSE OF LUCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUNNY WIN and LANSBURY were sent for sampling.
