Racing Incident Report

YEUNG SING was withdrawn on 29.11.16 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter MASTER PINNACLE (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, YEUNG SING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
C Schofield was warned for having used the whip on GOLDEN PARTNERS on two occasions behind the barriers. C Schofield was placed on notice that should he offend in the future, consideration will be given to penalizing him.
GOLDEN PARTNERS was slow to begin.
VIVACIOUS WINNER began awkwardly and shortly after the start was shifted across behind runners.
From the outside barrier, ISLAND FLYER began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly shortly after the start. ISLAND FLYER then raced wide and without cover until passing the 1000 Metres.
Shortly after the start, DOUBLE POINT was tightened for room between MY BLESSING and MASTER PINNACLE which shifted out.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, VIVACIOUS WINNER, after being ridden along, was steadied when racing tight to the inside of SAFARI MAGIC which was racing tight inside MASSIVE POWER (S Clipperton) which shifted in. Then passing the winning post on the first occasion VIVACIOUS WINNER got its head up when travelling keenly and overreacted to being steadied. S Clipperton was advised that whilst the racing manners of VIVACIOUS WINNER had contributed to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances.
Passing the 1000 Metres, LAUGHING LORD was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ROCK THE TREE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASSIVE POWER.
Passing the 450 Metres, VIVACIOUS WINNER was checked when attempting to improve between ROCK THE TREE and SAFARI MAGIC where there was insufficient room.
Passing the 300 Metres, VIVACIOUS WINNER was shifted to the inside of MASTER PINNACLE. Then passing the 200 Metres, VIVACIOUS WINNER was directed out away from the heels of NOVEL START to continue improving and in doing so shifted out and bumped MASTER PINNACLE.
Near the 250 Metres, MY BLESSING became unbalanced when crowded for room between ISLAND FLYER and DOUBLE POINT (J Moreira) which shifted in before being directed out by its rider. J Moreira was reprimanded and advised that he would be expected to react quicker to his mounts shifting ground than he did on this occasion.
Approaching and passing the 100 Metres, NOVEL START was awkwardly placed behind ISLAND FLYER which was giving ground.
A veterinary inspection of LAUGHING LORD, ISLAND FLYER and FRIENDS FOREVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DOUBLE POINT and ROCK THE TREE were sent for sampling.
