Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the barriers, K Teetan (DRAGON GLORY) reported that the horse coughed on one occasion on the way to the Start. DRAGON GLORY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who, after the necessary consultations with the jockey, found that horse to be suitable to race.
After being loaded into the barriers, PLENTY OF SPEED became very fractious and got its head down. PLENTY OF SPEED was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
COMMANDANT shifted in at the start and hampered MIGHTY WONGCHOY.
MIZZEN GREY shifted out on jumping and bumped SWEET BEAN. After this, MIZZEN GREY failed to muster speed despite being ridden along.
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, RAINBOW GOLD, GORGEOUS AGAIN and KERKENI were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A short distance after passing the winning post on the first occasion, DRAGON HARMONY jumped a shadow on the track.
Passing the 1400 Metres, TELEPHATIA got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MIGHTY WONGCHOY.
Throughout the race, PLENTY OF SPEED travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. The performance of PLENTY OF SPEED, which, together with RAINBOW GOLD, finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PLENTY OF SPEED and RAINBOW GOLD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Also throughout the race, DRAGON GLORY travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY FRIENDSHIP, KERKENI, RAINBOW GOLD and PLENTY OF SPEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DRAGON HARMONY and FAITHFUL BOY were sent for sampling.
<5/12/2016 Additional Veterinary Report>HAPPY FRIENDSHIP, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. HAPPY FRIENDSHIP was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D E Ferraris this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY FRIENDSHIP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
