Racing Incident Report

RADIANT STEED began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, SPARKLING TALENT was crowded for room between BREEDERS' STAR which shifted out and AMAZING FEELING which shifted in after being bumped by HAYMAKER. After this, HAYMAKER was steadied and shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier.
Also shortly after the start, GOLDEN ACHIEVER and SMART DELIGHT bumped.
From a wide barrier, NASHASHUK was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Near the 950 Metres, AMAZING FEELING was awkwardly placed close to the heels of RADIANT STEED.
Approaching the 900 Metres, NEVER BETTER, when racing three wide, was steadied and shifted into a position behind GOLDEN ACHIEVER to obtain cover.
Throughout the race, RADIANT STEED travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, H W Lai stated that NATURAL TEAM was inclined to lay out rounding the turns as it had done previously. He said at the entrance to the Straight NATURAL TEAM shifted out and as he was commencing to test the horse, he received a precautionary call from the rider of the horse positioned outside NATURAL TEAM. He said he therefore straightened NATURAL TEAM and rebalanced the horse before placing it under full pressure, however, NATURAL TEAM did not finish off the race.
BREEDERS' STAR and CIRCUIT KING were sent for sampling.
