Racing Incident Report
FOREVER POSH was crowded for room on jumping between SIGHT SEEING and MUTUAL JOY, both of which shifted ground.
GARLIC YEAH began awkwardly and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners.
From the outside barriers, SMART BABY and SANGRIA were also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, MR KOOL failed to muster speed and passing the 1600 Metres was shifted across behind runners to obtain a position with cover.
After travelling a short distance, MONEY WINNER was crowded for room between LITTLE FANTASY and MUTUAL JOY which shifted out when being corrected to prevent causing interference to FOREVER POSH.
Approaching the 1500 Metres, LITTLE FANTASY shifted in and bumped MUTUAL JOY.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, MUTUAL JOY lay in away from the heels of LITTLE FANTASY, resulting in SEE ME NOW racing tight inside MUTUAL JOY.
Passing the 300 Metres, MONEY WINNER was shifted to the inside of FOREVER POSH after being disappointed for running between that horse and MUTUAL JOY (L Henrique) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. L Henrique was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
Near the 150 Metres, K Teetan (SANGRIA) dropped his right rein. Then over the concluding stages, SANGRIA shifted out under pressure.
Passing the 100 Metres, LITTLE FANTASY, which was commencing to give ground, got its head on the side and lay in away from FOREVER POSH, resulting in LITTLE FANTASY being momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of SIGHT SEEING (K C Leung). In this incident, LITTLE FANTASY was struck across the nose by the whip of K C Leung.
When questioned, P-C Boudot stated that he was instructed to obtain a forward position on MR KOOL. He said despite him riding MR KOOL along in the early stages, the horse did not show sufficient early speed to cross runners to its inside and therefore passing the 1550 Metres he elected to steady his mount and obtain cover.
A veterinary inspection of MUTUAL JOY immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MUTUAL JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FOREVER POSH, OUR HERO and SEE ME NOW were sent for sampling.
