Racing Incident Report

Just prior to the start being effected, ENDEARING became fractious and reared. In this incident, J Moreira’s whip broke.
TELECOM MAN was slow to begin.
From wide barriers, IMPERIAL CONCORDE and PLAY IT were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After being ridden along to obtain a forward position in the early stages, MULTIGOGO was left racing wide and without cover after the 1300 Metres and subsequently gave ground in the Straight.
After the 900 Metres, PLAY IT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TELECOM MAN.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, TELECOM MAN raced tight between PLAY IT and GREAT JOY.
Passing the 700 Metres and again at the 600 Metres, GRAN MASTER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENDEARING.
Near the 450 Metres, GRAN MASTER and ENDEARING raced tight as GRAN MASTER improved between ENDEARING and CHATER THUNDER. After being brushed by GRAN MASTER, ENDEARING got its head on the side and lay out for a short distance.
ELUSIVE STATE was unable to obtain clear running until after the 300 Metres.
Passing the 150 Metres, QUICK RETURN was shifted out away from the heels of ENDEARING to continue improving.
Passing the 50 Metres, QUICK RETURN was awkwardly placed outside the heels of ENDEARING which shifted out under pressure.
QUICK RETURN, CHATER THUNDER and GRAN MASTER were sent for sampling.
