Racing Incident Report

SUPER WISE was slow to begin.
SPRING WIN and THE CREATETH bumped at the start.
FAST MOST FURIOUS shifted in at the start and bumped AMAZING.
ROCKIT was crowded for room on jumping between EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE and BACK IN BLACK which shifted out. After this, BACK IN BLACK and ROCKIT were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Shortly after the start, SUNNY DRAGON shifted out and inconvenienced AMAZING which then shifted out and brushed FAST MOST FURIOUS.
From the outside barrier, SHANGHAI MASTER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE lost its left front plate at the 800 Metres.
Passing the 600 Metres, STORM SIGNAL was left racing wide and without cover.
Rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, SHANGHAI MASTER was held up for clear running behind AMAZING.
Approaching the 200 Metres, AMAZING and FAST MOST FURIOUS raced tight.
Passing the 150 Metres, AMAZING shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of FAST MOST FURIOUS (Z Purton) which was laying in. When AMAZING bumped the hindquarters of FAST MOST FURIOUS, that horse became unbalanced and shifted in abruptly across the running of AMAZING which was checked. The Stewards were of the view that although FAST MOST FURIOUS had shifted in marginally at this time, AMAZING had also shifted out and it was as a result of both horses shifting ground that the contact was made between them. Accordingly, no further action was taken other than Z Purton was reminded of his obligation to ensure that he reacts as quickly as possible to prevent his mounts from shifting ground. BACK IN BLACK was shifted out away from the heels of AMAZING in consequence.
Near the 50 Metres, SUNNY DRAGON and STORM SIGNAL raced tight.
A veterinary inspection of STORM SIGNAL and BACK IN BLACK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FAST MOST FURIOUS and SHANGHAI MASTER were sent for sampling.
