Racing Incident Report

SUPER EIGHTEEN began awkwardly.
DR PROACTIVE began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped NICE KICK, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
From a wide barrier, SUNNY POWER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Near the 1100 Metres, NICE KICK was steadied away from the heels of DR PROACTIVE which got its head on the side and shifted in away from SUPER EURO STAR.
Making the first turn approaching the 900 Metres, SUPERIOR BOY raced tight inside AMAZING SATCHMO which lay in.
Near the 800 Metres, SUPER EURO STAR got its head on the side and lay in away from MULTIMAX, resulting in SUPER EURO STAR being awkwardly placed outside the heels of DR PROACTIVE. As T Berry, the rider of SUPER EURO STAR, attempted to correct that horse, SUPER EURO STAR lost ground abruptly, resulting in NICE KICK, which was following SUPER EURO STAR, having to be severely checked. The Stewards were satisfied that MULTIMAX had remained racing in a three wide position at this time and that the incident had occurred through no fault of T Berry, rather the incident occurred as a result of SUPER EURO STAR not holding its position at this time. Accordingly, no further action was taken.
After the 800 Metres, LEAN PERFECTION was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, NICE KICK shifted out away from the heels of SUPER EURO STAR, resulting in AMAZING SATCHMO being taken wider and without cover.
NICE KICK was badly held up for clear running from on straightening until the 200 Metres at which time the horse shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of AMAZING SATCHMO, causing that horse to become unbalanced. NICE KICK then raced in restricted room between AMAZING SATCHMO and MULTIMAX until passing the 200 Metres.
At the entrance to the Straight, SUPERIOR BOY and TORNEY raced tight.
In the early part of the Straight, UNIQUE JOYFUL was awkwardly placed behind SUPER EIGHTEEN.
SUPER EURO STAR was not able to obtain clear running until near the 100 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of UNIQUE JOYFUL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NICE KICK, LEAN PERFECTION and SUPERIOR BOY were sent for sampling.
