Racing Incident Report

LE TERROIR began only fairly and was then crowded for room between STRATHALLAN and QUADRUPLE DOUBLE which shifted out.
OUR GREEN began only fairly.
WAH MAY PRINCESS shifted in at the start and bumped PERFECT MATCH.
From wide barriers, LET’S COME BACK, WINNING CIRCLE and BELLA BABY were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
LE TERROIR travelled keenly in the early and middle stages and passing the 1100 Metres got its head up when awkwardly placed behind HAINAN STAR. Passing the 800 Metres, LE TERROIR again had to be checked away from the heels of HAINAN STAR. LE TERROIR continued to prove very difficult to settle and approaching the 600 Metres shifted out when awkwardly placed behind HAINAN STAR and bumped SUREWIN, causing both horses to become unbalanced. BELLA BABY and LET’S COME BACK, which were following SUREWIN and LE TERROIR, were steadied in consequence.
Making the turn near the 900 Metres, BELLA BABY got its head up when being steadied to obtain a position behind SUREWIN.
WAH MAY PRINCESS travelled wide and without cover until near the 650 Metres at which time it was shifted in to race outside the lead.
In the early part of the Straight, PERFECT MATCH lay in under pressure and approaching and passing the 200 Metres was reluctant to shift to the outside of QUADRUPLE DOUBLE. When being directed to the outside of QUADRUPLE DOUBLE, PERFECT MATCH was awkwardly placed near the heels of that horse which shifted out under pressure.
ROCKAGE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
D Whyte (BELLA BABY) dropped his whip near the 50 Metres.
LET’S COME BACK raced with its head on the side and lay out under pressure in the Straight.
HAINAN STAR raced greenly under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of LE TERROIR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HAINAN STAR, PERFECT MATCH and QUADRUPLE DOUBLE were sent for sampling.
