COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:
STARSPANGLEDBANNER was trained by Leon Corstens in Australia, and landed G1 Caulfield Guineas and Oakleigh Plate with Daniel Nikolic on board. He was purchased by Coolmore and under Aidan O'Brien’s handling afterwards. After settled in Ireland, STARSPANGLEDBANNER claimed Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle and made him became a champion sprinter in both European and Australia. He joined the Coolmore’s stallion roster after retirement but he was sent to second tier stud farm due to his low pregnancy rate. However, his next generations brought some surprise to Coolmore with victories among Royal Ascot races and STARSPANGLEDBANNER made his return. As of now, 35 runners won the black type contests including four-time G1 winner STATE OF REST. CALIFORNIA SPANGLE and BEAUTY ETERNAL as his representative in HK. His service fee in 2023 is EUR€ 50,000.
BEAUTY WAVES was sold at EUR€ 58,000 as a yearling. He was trained by Patrick Flynn in Ireland with a record of 1 win in 2 starts where he finished 5th on his debut in a 1200M straight race at Curragh and led all the way to win a 1200M poly-track event at Dundalk after being gelded. Same sire runners in HK ran on brilliantly while his dam LITTLE SWEETHEART ran on well over 1000M and won twice on poly-track while her off-springs are just ordinary. The chestnut should be fine on turf and dirt would be even better while 1400M or under in distance would be ideal.
