He said when his mount did not respond to his efforts to so do it made contact with 4th placegetter before failing to run on in the Home Straight. He added that, in his view, his mount did not appreciate the “Good to Firm” track conditions, particularly as it did not travel well during the running of the race. Trainer concurred with the opinion of rider that the horse did not appreciate the “Good to Firm” track conditions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 126. |

Rider reported that in that incident his right foot slipped in the stirrup and as a consequence he repositioned his foot into the stirrup near the 1500M. He added that his mount did not travel well throughout the event and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. Trainer advised that the horse had pleased him leading into the race and, in his opinion, appeared to race “flat”. He added he would consider applying sheepskin cheek pieces to the horse for its next race start. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 154. |
