He said from its wide barrier it settled towards the rear of the field to avoid covering additional ground - Race 199.

5 J524  ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT  15/11/2025   180  ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) rider stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but despite riding his mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to do so. He added when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off in a one-paced manner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 180.
6 H339  NINJA DERBY  15/11/2025   180  NINJA DERBY (H339) near the 1400M was steadied when racing keenly. When questioned rider stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position but he was to ensure that the horse obtained cover. He said in the early stages when being crossed by a runner his mount commenced to race keenly and did not settle for some distance thereafter. He stated that after being crossed by that runner, his mount settled further back in the field than expected when that runner did not continue forward. He added that in retrospect he would have been better suited by allowing his mount to continue forward in the early stages to obtain a position on the rail in advance of another runner. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight rider stated that after being positioned behind the aforementioned runner he endeavoured then to improve between that runner and another runner, however, between the 400M and the 300M he did not fully commit to the position as he was concerned that both those runners may shift ground and that run would close. He said once he was satisfied there was clear running available he was able to place his mount under full pressure near the 300M where it finished the race off well although over the concluding stages it lay out, resulting in him having to stop riding and straighten his mount for a short distance - Race 180.
