She said when she was satisfied her mount was not going to react adversely to her riding she then elected to push it along in the early stages in an endeavour to try and hold a more competitive position. 1 J253  THE PERFECT MATCH  15/10/2025   98  THE PERFECT MATCH (J253) bumped shortly after the start. The Stewards considered a protest/objection lodged by rider against 2nd placegetter alleging interference near the 200M. After considering the evidence the Stewards found that after being held up for clear running behind a runner approaching the 200M 2nd placegetter then shifted out and made contact with the horse, resulting in that horse being taken out slightly. As the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had that incident not occurred, the horse would have finished in advance of 2nd placegetter, the protest/objection was overruled and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. When questioned regarding his riding between the 300M and the 200M and as to whether there was an opportunity to ride his mount with more vigour rider stated that he was asked to obtain a position where comfortable but did not place his mount under pressure too soon as his mount was found to have bled previously. He said with these instructions in mind, after entering the Home Straight, whilst encouraging his horse to improve, he did not ride the horse with full vigour having regard to his instructions and also the fact that his mount lay in during that section of the race. He added that when he reached the 200M he then applied full vigour to his mount and finished the race off well following contact with 2nd placegetter. Trainer confirmed the instructions and the reasons as to why such instructions were issued and expressed satisfaction with rider’s riding. Having considered the evidence the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider was reasonable in the circumstances. An endoscopic exam was conducted at trainer's request and that exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 098.
2 H028  KA YING WARRIOR  09/11/2025   161  KA YING WARRIOR (H028) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 161.
