Racing Incident Report

SPEED FORCE jumped only fairly and then brushed with FLYING MIGHTY.
GOLD COMET was slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the outside barrier, FORTUNE TRIPLE was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
COLOURFUL BARON (S De Sousa) raced wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres where it was taken wider when FLYING MIGHTY shifted out to start a forward move. COLOURFUL BARON was then eased and obtained a position with cover behind FLYING MIGHTY near the 700 Metres. Rounding the Home Turn, COLOURFUL BARON was held up behind FLYING MIGHTY and in the early part of the Straight continued to be held up after shifting to the inside of FLYING MIGHTY. COLOURFUL BARON was then awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPER HORNET when that runner commenced to give ground, resulting in COLOURFUL BARON not obtaining clear running until near the 250 Metres. After the race, S De Sousa reported that after being held up in the early part of the Straight, when he placed his mount under pressure, it did not respond to his riding and raced disappointingly. A veterinary inspection of COLOURFUL BARON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
REGENCY GEM raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection of RUN RUN GOOD immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”.
A veterinary inspection of REGENCY GEM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CHIRON and EL VALIENTE were sent for sampling.
<6/3/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Officer reported that FORTUNE MARBO was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE MARBO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
