Racing Incident Report

ASTROLOGER was withdrawn on 15.5.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KEEP YOU WARM. Before being allowed to race again, ASTROLOGER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GRATEFUL HEART was crowded shortly after the start by HARMONY AND RICH which shifted out.
On jumping, ADIOS shifted out and away from HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE, resulting in PACKING TREADMILL and EASON being crowded for room between ADIOS and MAJESTIC STAR. In this incident, MAJESTIC STAR made contact with EASON and became unbalanced. MAJESTIC STAR was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
ATOMIC FORCE jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was attempted to be shifted across behind runners in the early stages. ATOMIC FORCE then over-raced throughout the early and middle stages and near the 1000 Metres was steadied away from EASON, shifted out and was then allowed to stride forward after the 900 Metres.
After the race, H Bowman (PACKING TREADMILL) reported that with the genuine pace of the event, PACKING TREADMILL did not travel well at any stage and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection of PACKING TREADMILL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
EASON and HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE were sent for sampling.
