Racing Incident Report

CALIFORNIA TEN blundered on jumping.
ORIENTAL SMOKE shifted out at the start and bumped BEAUTYVERSE.
TUCHEL and AMAZING VICTORY bumped at the start.
SWEET ENCOUNTER was slow to begin and from a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1300 Metres, SUNNY STAR was steadied when crowded by AMAZING VICTORY which, after improving to the inside of SPIRITED EXPRESS (A Badel), was then taken in by that horse which shifted in to obtain cover behind TUCHEL. A Badel was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is clear when shifting ground.
BOURBONAIRE lost its left hind plate at the 450 Metres.
Inside the 100 Metres, CALIFORNIA TEN knuckled and became unbalanced, resulting in its rider, M F Poon, not riding his mount out to the finish. After the race, M F Poon advised that he had some concerns with his mount’s action. A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA TEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIA TEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Passing the 100 Metres, the whip of A Badel was knocked from his grasp by the whip of K Teetan (AMAZING VICTORY).
Near the 50 Metres, BEAUTYVERSE, which was commencing to run on, was steadied and directed to the outside of SWEET ENCOUNTER to obtain clear running.
After the race, B Avdulla (SWEET ENCOUNTER) reported that when the pace of the event quickened from the 800 Metres, his mount became one-paced and did not respond to his riding. He added over the final 200 Metres SWEET ENCOUNTER ran on fairly when responding to his urgings. A veterinary inspection of SWEET ENCOUNTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, Apprentice E C W Wong (DROMBEG BANNER) reported that his mount failed to respond to his urgings and was inclined to lay out slightly when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection of DROMBEG BANNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TUCHEL and FLAMING RABBIT were sent for sampling.
