4 J142  DIVANO  31/01/2025   394  DIVANO (J142) when questioned, rider stated that he was given no specific instructions as to where to settle his mount other than to find a position where his mount was comfortable. He said from the outside barrier when the pace in the early stages was run inside of standard time he elected to allow his mount to settle in a position behind midfield. He said when the pace of the race continued to be run inside of standard time he then positioned his mount behind a runner but was of the opinion he would have had to make some use of his mount to hold a position behind that runner and for that reason he elected to allow his mount to settle at the rear of the field where it was comfortable. He added making the Home Turn he elected to improve to the inside of the 5th placegetter to save ground where he then encouraged his mount to improve into the event in the early part of the Home Straight. He said for some distance near the 300M he was not able to fully test his mount as he was waiting for a run to fully develop between runners. He said when that run developed near the 250M he was able to place his mount under full pressure whereby his mount finished the race off well. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the horse was ridden. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 394.
5 K014  JOHANNES BRAHMS  16/02/2025   434  JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014) when questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer stated that at the horse’s last start it was disadvantaged by being taken wider in the middle stages and left without cover. He said in the event the horse was better suited by being able to obtain cover in the early and middle stages behind the 5th placegetter and that was the principal reason for the hose being able to run on strongly in the Home Straight - Race 434.
6 J301  STUNNING PEACH  31/01/2025   390  STUNNING PEACH (J301) after the event, rider stated that his mount settled slightly further back in the field than anticipated and in the Home Straight finished the race off only fairly. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 390.
7 K082  MICKLEY  16/02/2025   434  MICKLEY (K082) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. 9 K021  CAP FERRAT  31/01/2025   394  CAP FERRAT (K021) after the event, rider stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the race and as a result finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
