Racing Incident Report

From the outside barriers, CHATER WAY and XTENSION were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, FAIR TRADE was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY FLASH. After the 1300 Metres, NEW GREENFIELD was hampered when crowded for room between OUTDOOR PEGASUS and AMBITIOUS DRAGON which shifted in. After the 1200 Metres, AMBITIOUS DRAGON was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 1000 Metres, SIGHT WINNER got its head up when momentarily crowded for room inside BEAUTY FLASH (G Mossé). G Mossé was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in future. Near the 800 Metres, SIGHT WINNER again got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAUTY FLASH and shifted out, resulting in ABLE ONE and AMBITIOUS DRAGON being taken wider. After this, ABLE ONE was also left racing wide and without cover. Near the 850 Metres, FAIR TRADE was steadied away from the heels of DESTINED FOR GLORY. NEW GREENFIELD, which was following, was shifted out away from the heels of FAIR TRADE. After the 200 Metres, FAIR TRADE got its head on the side and lay out under pressure. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FAIR TRADE had a swelling to the outside of the right front cannon and that NEW GREENFIELD had lost its left hind plate. DESTINED FOR GLORY and AMBITIOUS DRAGON were sent for sampling.
