Racing Incident Report

GREEN ENVY began awkwardly and lost ground.
As the start was effected, SHANGHAI DRAGON lifted its front feet off the ground and then lost ground when crowded for room between BLOOMING SPIRIT and MY WINNER which shifted out after beginning awkwardly. In this incident, BLOOMING SPIRIT became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by SHANGHAI DRAGON.
From a wide barrier, HAPPY HOUR was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages, HAPPY ALUMNI travelled keenly, particularly when being steadied after the 1200 Metres to obtain cover.
Passing the 1100 Metres, VICTORIOUS SEEKER was steadied away from the heels of GREEN ENVY which got its head on the side and shifted out.
After the 900 Metres, BLOOMING SPIRIT was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 700 Metres, STORM SOLDIER was checked away from the heels of BLOOMING SPIRIT which shifted out marginally.
Passing the 550 Metres, E STAR (U Rispoli) was bumped by CHEEKY BEE which shifted out. After the race, U Rispoli said that after being bumped by CHEEKY BEE, E STAR came off the bridle and then weakened noticeably in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of E STAR immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, E STAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
During the race and particularly in the Home Straight, BUDDIES hung out and proved difficult to ride. Before being allowed to race again, BUDDIES will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend.
Approaching the 300 Metres, STORM SOLDIER was very awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHANGHAI DRAGON which shifted out marginally.
Over the concluding stages, YEE CHEONG LUCKY was awkwardly placed outside BUDDIES as that horse shifted out.
HAPPY ALUMNI, PERFECT PAIR and VICTORY POWER were sent for sampling.
