4 14 EXPLOSIVE POWER (BV129) F Coetzee -- One off fence around midfield. Made gradual ground from 300 M, kept on same pace closing stages.
5 11 CLASSA WIN (CA115) D Whyte -- Steadied after start, then travelled 6Ls behind midfield. Short of room 400 M out, made steady headway when into clear near 300 M. One-paced and failed to get a minor placing.
6 13 GREEN CENTURY (CA256) Y T Cheng V1 Began fairly, steadily worked forward to hold slender advantage on rail before 1200 M. Overtaken by winner 200 M out. Kept on quite well before tiring final 100 M.
7 4 VIPER CORP (CA183) M Kinane -- Soon dropped to tail. 3-wide 7Ls down turning in, ran on steadily but was steadied near 200 M, one-paced thereafter.

9 2 SMILING FOREST (BV286) B Marcus BO Slow to muster speed, steadily improved along rail to obtain handy position 3Ls off lead 1300 M out. Crept a bit closer on straightening and stayed on quite well before dropping out steadily from 100 M.
