3 1 KENZAN (CB068) B Marcus -- Broke well, slender lead 2-wide. Kept on upon straightening until headed 200 M out. Unable to produce extra concluding stages and lost 2nd on the line.
4 8 GO GET THEM (BV195) M W Leung SR Midfield or better, travelled along the rails 2-3Ls off pace. Steadied rear 800 M then bushed rail about 500 M out when crowded. Kept on same pace in straight.
5 12 GRANVILLE ISLAND (CB118) Y T Cheng -- 4-wide midfield early, then 2-wide 4Ls off lead worse than midfield approaching home turn. Shifted out to make run upon straightening. Made some late ground.
6 4 BULLISH (BP318) M Kinane B2 Jumped well from difficult gate, soon outpaced and steadily dropped to the rear racing 2-wide 5-6Ls behind pace. Shifted to the outside upon straightening and made up steady ground from 200 M until no extra close home.
7 10 THE GRAND ROOF (CB083) H K Yim -- Broke well and always 3-wide amongst front runners. Unable to accelerate when asked for extra after straightening, plugged on before tiring closing stages.
8 6 GOOD CHANCE (BV259) D Whyte -- In touch briefly, soon worse than midfield, 4Ls off pace. Under pressure rounding home bend, one paced in straight.
9 2 EL VIENTO (BT129) A Suborics -- Pushed early to maintain prominent position 2-wide and 2Ls behind pace. Stayed on early in the straight but was flat after the 200 M.
10 11 INSIGHTOREALITY (CA363) K C Tsang -- Towards rear on rail. Very moderate late headway.
