2 10 GUSCOTT (BS207) K C Tsang V Began well and pushed along to race behind leader on fence. Commenced to go forward after 400 M to be 1/2L down entering straight. Ran home well and was just edged out by winner on the line.
3 1 CHATER LANE (CB339) R Fradd SR Broke fairly from wide draw and soon eased to rear but closer to rail. Switched wide and pushed along to go forward turning for home. Made up steady ground in straight to grab 3rd place on the line.
4 11 UNIVERSAL GLORY (BV162) K H Ting B Slowly away and hard ridden to improve position. Passing winning post 1st time blundered and dropped to rear on rail. Made up good ground in straight and missed the placing by a short margin.
5 12 THE RICH MAN (BS130) W M Lai B Raced in worse than midfield around 2-wide and was difficult to settle in the early stages. Hard ridden and switched out when making the home turn. Made up some ground inside final 200 M.
6 4 BARRACUDA (CB320) E Legrix -- Soon raced in mid-division around 2-wide. From 600 M was hard ridden to maintain position. Did not quicken in straight and stayed on evenly to the line.
7 9 ALL WIN (BT106) D Whyte B Broke well and soon settled in midfield. Hampered winning post 1st time and dropped to last on rail. At 400 M switched wide to obtain clear running and made slight improvement. Kept on one-paced in straight.
8 7 SUPER WONGCHOY (CB318) D Dunn -- Niggled along to race in forward position and steadily shifted in to be 2-wide. Took lead around 700 M with about 1L advantage through to straight. Headed at 200 M and further weakened in the closing stages.
9 5 NON SEQUITUR (BV093) F Coetzee P/H Ridden hard but outpaced and was caught wide making 1st turn. From 1000 M steadily improved to race behind leader 3-wide through to straight. Unable to quicken in straight and further weakened inside final 200 M.
10 8 MAESTRO (CC037) W C Marwing -- Unable to muster early speed and raced in midfield 3-wide. Under pressure around 500 M out to maintain position. Made no impression in straight.
11 6 A CANDY (CB190) E Saint-Martin B Began slowly and raced in rear section out wide making 1st turn. From 1200 M commenced to go forward to race 1-1/2L off leader going up Rock. From 400 M steadily lost position and weakened badly 200 M out.
12 3 BRILLIANT LOT (CB399) P Smullen B1 Slow to begin. Ridden hard to lead on fence from 1300 M. At 600 M commenced to lose ground quickly and tailed out thereafter.
