3 7 BARFOLD HERO (CC071) M Cahill -- Raced towards the rear around 2 wide. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running. Made up good ground when asked 200 M out but was overpowered by 2nd placegetter on the line.
4 6 KING PALM (CC118) K S Yu -- Niggled along to race in better than midfield 2 wide through to straight. Made up steady ground when asked 350 M out to be closest at finish.
5 3 EAST OCEAN DRAGON (CB194) W C Marwing B/TT Soon eased to race in rear section towards the outside without cover and was carried wider on straightening. Ran on fairly in straight to be closest at finish.
6 11 BROWN BEAUTY (CC029) Y T Cheng SR Jumped awkwardly and soon recovered to race in worse than midfield around 2 to 3 wide. Ran home fairly when asked 350 M out, but over the concluding stages was steadied when crowded for room.
7 1 SUPREME STAR (CA206) D Whyte H Began fairly and soon raced in mid-division on rail. Shifted out on straightening to find clear running. Ran on evenly and drifted in when asked 350 M out, weakened slightly over the concluding stages.
8 10 FLAMENCO STAR (BS321) B Prebble TT1 Settled in rear section around 2 wide. Drifted out on straightening. Under pressure 400 M out and made up little ground inside final 200 M.
9 9 STRAIGHT WIN (CB069) C Williams -- Eased to race in rear section on inner through to straight. Unable to quicken in straight and kept on evenly to the line.
10 8 GORGEOUS YEARS (CB360) D Dunn B Soon box-seated behind leader through to straight. Unable to quicken when asked 350 M out and steadily weakened inside final 200 M.
11 4 UNIVERSAL STAR (BS188) K T Yeung -- Raced towards the rear on fence. Under pressure to maintain position turning for home. Stayed one-paced in straight and only ran past couple beaten runners in the final stages.
