2 6 DIVINE FEELING (CA355) D Dunn B Jumped well from wide draw but soon eased to race at back on inner. Near 1200 M was checked when closed to heels. Switched out and made steady improvement at home bend. Made up steady ground in straight to grab 2nd place near the line
3 8 SPEED WINNER (CB195) R Fradd -- Raced in midfield in the early stages. Near the 1200 M went forward to join the leading pack. Placed under pressure at home bend and kept on well in straight, only to be caught by the 2nd placegetter near the line.
4 12 MANSFIELD STAR (CA332) M W Leung H Slow to begin and raced in rear section 2-wide. Near the 1200 M went forward from the outside to be in midfield at back straight without cover. Ran on fairly and hung in in straight, missed the 3rd placegetter by a short margin.
5 5 MEMBERS GLORY (CB325) B Prebble B Raced towards the rear 3-wide and checked near the 1200 M when awkwarded on heels. Made improvement at home bend and steadied at 400 M. Took a while to get going in straight and made up a little ground in the final stages.
6 1 CHATER LANE (CB339) M Cahill SR Tardy start and soon raced in mid-division 2-wide. Near the 1200 M was steadied when awkwarded on heels. Made little improvement at home bend. Kept on evenly and raced tight throughout the straight.
7 3 MAMOUSKA (CB444) Y T Cheng B Niggled along to race in better than midfield on fence through to straight. Responded fairly when asked 250 M out but had trouble obtaining a clear run over a concluding stages and was not ridden out to the line.
8 9 OLIVE OR TWIST (CB271) D Beasley B2 Slowly away. Raced in midfield or worse on rail and proved difficult to settle in the early stages. Steadily dropped to the rear section after 1400 M. Blocked from 250 M to 100 M. Made up little ground thereafter.
9 11 GUSCOTT (BS207) P H Lo B Niggled along to race outside the leader in the early stages. Steadily eased to race in better than midfield at back straight. Unable to quicken when asked 250 M out and further weakened over the concluding stages.
10 10 SEA PEARL (BS262) K C Tsang B Hard ridden to race in a forward position on rail through to straight. Found nothing in straight and further weakened inside final 200 M.
11 2 SMART WIN (CA372) G Schofield B Settled in midfield or worse on rail. For some distance after the 400 M was held up for running. Made no impression in the straight.
