2 3 TOUCH OF CLASS (CB129) C Soumillon SR1/TT Tardy start and niggled along to be box seated behind leader. Switched out on straightening to obtain clear running. Kept on well when asked 400 M out but was unable to match speed with winner to settle for 2nd place.
3 8 CHING HOI BOY (CC222) B Doyle B Broke fairly and pushed along to race in midfield or better around 3 wide through to straight. Ran on fairly when asked 400 M out and was carried away from its rightful running inside final 200 M. (Finished 4th, placed 3rd.)
4 11 CLANG'S PRIDE (CC016) C Williams -- Began fairly and raced in better than midfield on rail through to straight. Responded fairly when asked 400 M out but caused interference inside final 200 M and lost 3rd place after Stewards' enquiry.
5 12 LUCKY VICTORIES (BT163) D Whyte B On jumping was crowded for room and raced in mid-division. Near the 1100 M was crowded for room and dropped to rear section. Switched out on straightening and made up some ground inside final 200 M.
6 14 BEEP BEEP (CD040) K S Yu -- Niggled along to race around 1L off pace 2 to 3 wide through to straight. Stayed one-pace when asked 400 M out and was crowded for room near the 300 M. Kept on evenly to the line thereafter.
7 1 GALLANT HORSE (CA128) K C Tsang -- Raced in better than midfield 2 wide and proved difficult to settle in the early stages. Slightly held up for a few strides in the early part of straight. Only able to run on evenly to the line.
8 5 TREASURE FIELD (CA236) G Mosse TT Began well from wide draw and steadily eased to the rear section 3 wide. Made little headway from the outside turning for home. Unable to find an extra gear when asked 400 M out and stayed one-pace to the line.
9 7 METRO FLYER (CA072) M Kinane B Tardy start from widest and soon steadied to the rear section on rail. Made some progress rounding the home turn to be in midfield on straightening. Stayed one-pace when asked 400 M out and slightly weakened inside final 200 M.
10 4 BALL OF FIRE (CD020) H K Yim -- Slow to begin and pushed along to race in worse than midfield 3 wide. Near the 900 M was crowded for room. Ridden along and made up little ground at home bend. Only able to run on evenly to the line when asked 400 M out.
11 10 TROPHY (CD027) A Marcus H1/TT Began well from wide draw and steadily eased to a rearward position towards the outside through to straight. Only kept on evenly to the line when asked 400 M out.
12 13 MYSTIC SPIRITS (CC278) F Coetzee B Began well from wide draw and was immediately taken back to the tail on rail as instructed through to straight. Made no impression in the straight.
13 2 PRO JOY (CD160) T Mundry SR1 Raced in midfield 2 wide through to straight. Found nothing when asked 400 M out and dropped out quickly inside final 250 M. (Heart irregularity.)
14 9 NEVER SO YOUNG (CD102) D Dunn -- On jumping was crowded for room and soon recovered to race in midfield towards the outside. Commenced to give ground at home bend and tailed out in straight. (Heart irregularity.)
