5 2 ANIMATION (CJ035) C K Tong B Worked hard from an outside gate to work forward, eventually crossing to the lead on the fence near the 700 M. Ran out of gas in the straight.
6 11 LUCKY DRAGON (CD322) Y T Cheng TT From a wide barrier, was steadied and taken across behind runners to settle in 2nd last position on the fence. Sought runs along the inside, and although it received a check near the 300 M, ran on soundly.

8 5 LOHAN (CH279) Z Purton CP1 Raced in 3rd last position, 2 deep with cover, battled away over the final 300 M.
9 9 AMAZING VENTURE (CJ039) A Delpech -- Settled behind midfield along the rails. Peeled out in the run home but made little impression.
10 12 GENERAL KINGY (CB039) P H Lo B Settled behind the early leader along the fence. Was 3 back after the 700 M, failed to give when asked for an effort at the business end of the race.

12 14 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) W M Lai B Covered ground whilst in a midfield position, 4 deep, had cover. Struggled over the latter stages.
