3 4 DIAMOND SUPREME (CH265) D Whyte TT Tardy into stride, took a position in behind midfield 5Ls off pace, had a trail to midpoint, moved to centre and finished off nicely for 3rd but outclassed by first two.
4 13 SUPER GENERAL (CJ107) M W Leung H/TT Standard jump, raced towards rear 6Ls back close to stand side, shifted into clear running from midpoint, did best work last 300 M making some late headway.
5 1 BULB KING (CD303) W M Lai -- Lacked early pace, ended up 5Ls back behind midfield, tracked well but set a bit to do from midpoint, closed well last 400 M but couldn't pair back margin last 400 M.
6 7 DREAM HORSE (CG029) Z Purton TT Began well, raced 2 to 3Ls back off outside rail, had a reasonable run to 400 M, didn't respond when placed under pressure, checked at 100 M but was weakening regardless.
7 12 RICH DRAGON (CG079) M Du Plessis V Standard jump, settled back with last few 6Ls away, niggled to hold position at midpoint, responded well from 400 M and finished reasonably well despite never looking a winning chance.
8 8 PLEZAYRE (CG116) G Boss XB/TT Began in line, positioned behind pace 3Ls back behind pace, had no excuses in run, found little when placed under pressure and struggled over concluding stages.
9 5 DRAGON EYE (CJ127) B Prebble TT1 Away evenly, raced 4Ls back along outside rail, jockey kept mind on job from midpoint, didn't offer much in run to line just holding ground late.
10 10 MIRACLE FORTUNE (CH292) Y T Cheng -- Began well, went to inside of track, raced solo on far side of course, about midfield or better at midpoint, gradually lost touch in run to line.
11 9 ENCOSTA DON (CH305) R Fradd -- Moderate jump, back behind midfield 5Ls back, travelled fairly throughout, under pressure at 400 M, checked at 250 M when weakening and never a factor thereafter.
12 6 CLASSA BETTER (CH228) H W Lai B1/XB1 Slow into stride, recovered to race 4Ls back in midfield, had a fair run to 400 M, couldn't keep up when they sprinted and folded tamely thereafter.
13 11 SHY BALDY (CH168) M Nunes TT Well enough away, raced 3 to 4Ls back a few horses from outside, began to feel effects at 400 M and stopped quickly weakening to be well beaten.
14 3 FLORAL JOY II (CJ030) K L Chui XB/TT Began awkwardly, failed to muster and became detached from the field, didn't stride out and not ridden along thereafter. Never a factor. (Lame in left hind and abnormal breathing.)
