4 7 KING OF SHAVER (CH041) B Prebble B 2-wide and 1L back in 2nd at halfway, led about 500 M out but headed at the 200 M and missed out on a place in the final few metres.
5 3 EVER KING (CE147) D Beadman V/TT 5-back on the rails about 6Ls from the pace early on, further back in rear off last turn, made good late headway on outside and just missed a place. (Questioned.)

7 6 KA KA SMART (CG042) Z Purton B/H 3-wide without cover throughout, 2Ls back in 4th or 5th at halfway, 1L down in 2nd entering the straight, one-paced inside final 200 M.
8 13 LOHAN (CH279) C W Wong B A little better than midfield with cover about 3Ls or so from the pace until home straight, very one-paced to conclude.
9 4 HOLIGAN (CH003) W C Marwing B- 8Ls last at 1200 M, 6Ls down turning for home out wide, 3Ls back in mid-division at the furlong pole but couldn't draw any closer.
10 2 SUPER SURPRISE (CH210) O Doleuze B Slow to begin and 6Ls back in 12th at the 1200 M, hardly any closer entering home straight, made only very minor late ground.
11 5 WONG'S SUCCESS (CE107) H W Lai B 4-back along the fence down back straight in midfield about 5Ls from the speed, slipped back to last on straightening, remained behind.
12 12 KEEN SPIRIT (CJ022) K T Yeung B/TT 3-back on the fence when 4Ls off speed in midfield at 1000 M, similarly placed rounding home turn, didn't pick up and eased late when beaten.
