2 1 FANTASTIC TIME (CH220) B Prebble SR/V Travelled just off midfield 2-wide with cover. Peeled out into a 3-wide line after the 600 M, chased hard in the run to the post to come up short of the prize.
3 7 MULTI-WIN SPIRIT (CG137) O Doleuze XB/TT From a wide gate settled in about 3rd last position along the fence. Closed off well in the final stages.
4 14 WONDER KID (CH233) M Du Plessis P/TT Box seated behind the leader on the fence. For a considerable distance after the 400 M was held up. Battled on to the line.
5 3 REAL PLEASURE (CJ021) M L Yeung -- Travelled 1 off the fence in a midfield position. Worked to the line dourly.
6 2 ACCELERATOR (CG179) G Mosse CP/XB/TT Travelled towards the tail of the field, 1 off with cover. Over the final 350 M was not able to obtain clear running and because of this was not tested.
7 13 SO NICE (CG110) H W Lai CP/H On jumping was taken back and settled in last position. Made up some late headway down the outside in the straight.
8 6 LITTLE BIG BOY (CJ012) C Soumillon TT Settled with the back makers, 2 deep with cover. Struggled in the final stretch.
9 4 HOT SUN (CJ005) C K Tong -- Went forward and led, difficult to settle in middle stages.
10 11 MAXIMUM CHARM (CJ056) W C Marwing B/SR As the start was affected, lunged forward and broke open the front gate of its stall losing ground. Made good yards in the early stages to travel behind midfield, paddled thereafter.
11 5 REDHILL COMMANDER (CH078) K T Yeung B1/TT Travelled 3 back, 1 off with cover. Wasn't in the hunt over the final furlong.
12 8 ME THE BEST (CJ158) Y T Cheng B- Settled well back in the event 2-wide with cover and never looked likely to run on.
13 12 AIPODER IMAGE (CJ031) M W Leung V Ridden hard for most of the early stages before settling 1 out 1 back. Hung out in the middle stages and gave in quickly after turning for home.
14 10 PERFECT ATHLETE (CG276) C W Wong -- Worked hard from a wide gate to cross and vie for the lead near the 800 M. Faded quickly in the straight. Finished tailed out. To Trial.
