2 10 ROYAL PORTRAIT (CJ092) H W Lai -- Enjoyed the run of the race behind the leader on the paint. Peeled out near the 500 M and improved nicely but came up marginally short after having every chance.

4 2 MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP (CG260) S K Sit -- Travelled worse than midfield 2-wide with cover. Closed off soundly.
5 3 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) M Chadwick B/TT Forced to work for the majority of the trip, 3 deep without cover with the front markers. Managed to cross to race 1 off as joint leader by the 500 M, however faded in the run to the line.
6 1 RELY ON ME (CE068) P H Lo B/TT Raced outside the leader before crossing to the fence and assuming the lead at the 500 M. Weakened over the concluding stages.
7 5 SUNSHINE BOY (CJ281) K L Chui H Raced on the back of the speed 2-wide with cover. Rolled out making the turn at the 500 M coursing 3 deep without cover. Not likely from that point on.
8 6 FLORAL IMAGE (CK027) Y T Cheng B-/TT Raced behind midfield the fence. Whacked away at the same speed in the final stretch.
9 12 WADADELIGHT (CC340) C K Tong B Jumped well and speared forward but was caught wide and settled 3 deep with cover midfield. Struggled in the straight.
10 9 CENTURY MOLLY (CK067) C W Wong H-/P1/TT- Travelled in 2nd last position along the paint. Never quickened at the business end.
11 11 SUPERB GAINS (CJ058) Z Purton -- Settled 3 back the fence. Had every chance.
