2 12 BOBO WIN (CC238) M W Leung H/TT Began evenly then drifted back to settle in last position. Saved ground rounding the home turn then hooked to the outside and made good late ground.
3 3 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) B Doyle B/TT Travelled early along the fence behind the leader but commenced to pull hard and shifted to the 1 off line near the 1000 M. Continued to race hard and near the 800 M shifted out to travel 3 deep without cover. Kept on well.
4 7 LUCKY TYCOON (CH318) W M Lai B Raced midfield 1 off with cover. Reaching the 700 M was 3-wide with cover, but was found to be one paced when under pressure over the concluding stages.
5 4 KINGSTON WINNER (CC024) Y T Cheng B Showed good gate speed to lead early before handing up and taking a trailing position near the 600 M. Didn't find any extra at the business end.
6 11 HARRY HARRY (CD019) C K Tong XB Box seated early then vied for the lead approaching the 1000 M. Gained cover to travel 1 out 1 back near the 600 M. Struggled in the final stretch.
7 8 BATURO (CH029) K C Leung -- Bounced out in front but was trapped 3 deep without cover early before crossing to the fence by the 1000 M. Was well and truly overhauled by the 200 M.
8 1 KAISER'S CHOIX (CE305) M Chadwick XB Ridden along but couldn't go the early speed of the race and was posted 4-wide without cover until finally pushing forward after coursing deep to settle in the lead 1 off at the 900 M. Completely gassed in the final stages.
9 2 EVERGREEN (CE106) C W Wong B Raced near the back of the field along the fence. Railed up in the straight but only plugged to the line.
10 6 CLASSIC ENERGY (CJ143) J Lloyd B/H/TT Travelled in 2nd last position, with cover. Sought an inside passage in the run home but ran into traffic problems and was held up for the final furlong.
11 9 TREMENDOUS PLUS (CG275) P H Lo B Settled towards the rear, 1 off with cover. Never looked likely.
12 10 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) T H So SR Went forward but was caught wide and without cover on the pace. Gradually gave ground on the circle and finished well back. (Vet reported mucopus.)
