3 12 FOREVER ELATION (CK215) T H So B Even getaway, positioned in midfield 3 to 4Ls away, had ideal trail in mid-section, came through runners turning and finished well final 200 M to take a place.
4 6 OCEAN WIDE (CJ132) Z Purton B/H Fastest into stride, took a trail after 200 M, had ideal run behind leader, right there on bend, stuck on in straight but couldn't find extra final 100 M.
5 4 TIGER PRAWN (CG279) G Cheyne TT Even jump, ended up in midfield 3 to 4Ls back, had used little on rails, tightened 600 M, saved ground turning, just held ground in straight.
6 11 BEAUTIFUL DREAMER (CH108) W M Lai B Taken back from wide alley, raced 6Ls or so away on rails, still had job to do turning, worked home evenly but never really likely.
7 2 BEAR MACHO (CG152) D Whyte -- Slow away, faded to tail from a wide gate, amongst rear division throughout, swung wide on bend, made some minor ground from well back.
8 3 HOLI RAVIOLI (CG201) O Doleuze -- Standard jump, unable to slot in and posted 3 wide 4 to 5Ls back in midfield, did some work but had cover to bend, didn't let down as usual and battled late.
9 10 CONFUCIUS CLASSIC (CJ141) M W Leung -- No early speed, soon at rear, 7Ls or so off top end, niggled throughout, same margin down turning in, passed only tired runners.
10 9 NOVEL WINNING (CK183) C W Wong B1/TT1 Struggled early, settled well back 7 to 8Ls near to last, never really looked comfortable, no resonse at business end.
11 8 HOLEY DOLLAR (CK118) D Beadman H Average jump, unable to lead, sat in 1 out 1 back spot, under pressure on turning, found little in straight and weakened cheaply. (See Racing Incidents.)
