2 1 MILLION DARLING (CL056) C Y Ho TT Showed good speed to cross and take up the running. Kicked clear early in the straight but was mowed down close to the wire.
3 10 OYSTER (CL146) W M Lai P/TT Raced in a handy position, 2 wide with cover. Battled away in the run home and finished off satisfactorily.
4 6 GRACYTOM (CL408) M Du Plessis B/H Copped a heavy bump early then had a nice run in transit, midfield the fence with cover. Finished off well to make the frame.
5 12 KINGSTON ELITE (CL274) G Cheyne B Had every conceivable chance after settling 3 back the paint. Maintained an even gallop down the running.
6 5 FLYING KEEPER (CM191) B Prebble P Slow to begin then was beaten for speed early making its run from 3rd last, on the rails. Closed off well.
7 2 AMAZING SKY (CL229) W C Marwing B Sent forward and although 3 wide after the 600m, was able to find some cover on the circle. Somewhat one paced in the final stretch.
8 8 LINKED WIN (CL042) M L Yeung B Not the best away then became unbalanced after shifting in quickly and bumping with another runner soon after the start. Couldn't go the early pace and settled at the rear of the field. 1 off with cover. Struggled in the straight.
9 4 GLOBAL WIN (CG109) T Angland B/TT Settled worse than midfield but when racing on the fence, shifted out across heels near the 600m and was checked. Plugged away over the final stages.
10 9 GENERAL DANROAD (CL020) O Doleuze -- Travelled with the backmakers 1 off with cover but was checked & carted off its line on the circle and hung out for a short distance afterwards. Came widest in the straight but was never likely.
11 7 ASMODAI (CM101) P Strydom B1 Worked forward to race outside the leader. Was a beaten horse before the home bend.
12 3 FELAROF (CM175) M Chadwick TT Began from a wide gate & spent little energy early and travelled in last position on the paint with cover. Whacked away in the run home.
