3 9 HEAR THE ROAR (CM152) T Clark -- Settled 3 wide just off midfield from an awkward alley, had cover and suited by speed, 6Ls or so back on bend, kept finding and made nice ground down middle for 3rd.
4 14 SUPER BOBO (CJ116) H W Lai B/TT Posted 3 wide without cover 3Ls back from outside alley, did some work with pace on, crept forward turning, battled respectably given trip.
5 4 LIBERATOR (CL240) K C Ng B/H/TT Didn't muster, just off midfield 5-6Ls back, in traffic turning and didn't see daylight to 200, did best work late to be on heels of place getters.
6 10 GLORY OF INDIA (CK130) J Lloyd TT Settled in box seat 1 out 1 back 2Ls back, even trip with decent speed on, into mix from 400m and looked a place chance but proved a bit one paced late.
7 5 INTERCHINA STAR (CJ226) M Chadwick TT Obtained a midfield position 4-5Ls back, easy time in mid section, stuck on evenly in straight and was held up from 200-100m, was nearest on line.
8 13 PEGASUS SUPREME (CL286) C K Tong B Pressed forward to take up running, rolled along keenly setting a decent speed, backed off on circle, 2ls clear turning, run ended inside 200m after early work.
9 7 SLEEP WELL (CK036) C W Wong XB/TT No early pace, ended up 5Ls back on rails in midfield, had easy time and aided by pace, kept to inside and worked to the line well without looking a threat.
10 2 CARTHAGE (CL256) K C Leung SR/TT No early speed and dropped down to rear on rails, 7Ls back in mid section, aided by speed, held up for most of straight and was unable to be properly tested.
